Lena Loveitch.. My lucky numbers one !!
Curved Air with Christine Purfect and Andy summers later of Police
Chuck Berry was that the night he sung my ding a ling

It was the night it was recorded - still no royalties. :(
I can tell you that the lady from Curved Air performed commando that night, and she was a natural blonde ! I was right in the front row - feet under the stage, and when she twirled......

I was watching the UK Subs on Saturday in Birmingham! They played the Golden Cross about 6 years ago!

I saw The Libertines in the Colly side room about 6 months before Up The Bracket!

When Ocean Colour Scene played at the Colly in2010, Weller was there, did an acoustic set and then played with OCS. Great night that was, not the biggest fan of his but it was pretty special!

I didn't see this, but a pre-Nirvana Dave Grohl played in Coventry loads of times in the mid to late 80s and is really good friends with Brains from Cathedral. Apparently has a soft spot for us!

In the 00s we've been host to King Kurt, Fingers, Subs, Meteors, Discharge, Million Dead, Frank Turner, Graveltrap, Spunge, Funeral For A Friend, Enter Shikari, Terrorvision, Spear Of Destiny, John Ottoway, Drongos For Europe..
to name a few!

We've got a great music scene! Support your local bands... Keep music live!

The Ocean Colour Scene gig was class. Proper relived my youth!

A good mate of mine and Cov lad Danny Ansell is supporting Steve Craddock at the Birmingham Ballroom this Friday. Dan sent him some of his own tunes and Craddock has asked him to be his main support.

Danny's proper made up as we all grew up loving them. Tickets only £11.50. Get yourselves there.

"I saw the beginnings of the polyphonic spree"......I've still got the sticker that proves it too !!

I wish I could join in this thread properly as I've seen some top top bands.....but I'm not from Coventry so the venues will mean nothing to you all.:(

Anyone get tickets for some Channel 4 show that was being filmed at the Transport Museum hosted by that lanky Welsh twat? The Pigeon Detectives played and someone else who I can't for the life of me remember.

Saying that I can't remember the name of the show or who they interviewed inside either. :thinking about:
