That's a very young line up.

Bit of a weird one, but does anyone know if there's anything to actually see/do in Stoke? Or is it better to just get in/ get out without going into the city?

No, people have said there's no real place in the team for an old CB that isn't rally going to play.

If there was an experienced player than would get in the XI we would look at going for them.
And we have one already but he doesn't inspire for some!

Getting excited now. Hoping we start on the front foot this season as we have a fairly settled squad, especially in attack. Predicting 3-1 with goals from Simms, Wright and then MC having come on from the bench for the last 10.

Just had a gaff at the Stoke forum.

Let’s put it this way… they’re so depressed about their team and the season hasn’t even started!

They've got that big water park thing.
Have a bacon cheese and brown sauce oatcake and wander around the Gladstone Pottery Museum and make yourself a flower from clay.

Or....

Stand on the Sideway (pronounced Siddaway) bridge over the D road and wave at the clayheads as they go by.

Or...

Have a stroll up Hanley duck and take a look at Sir Stans statue.

Or...

Go to Trentham Gardens just down the road from the freezer that's the Bet365 stadium and have a look at the gardens and rowing lake. I read somewhere that Steve Redgrave whilst on a day trip with his parents first picked up an oar there. Not sure if that's true.

Or...

Just drive for a few minutes north of SoT and be in some of the most beautiful countryside anywhere in the world.

Lived up there for nearly 30 years and the locals are decent folk but believe me it's every bit as bad as Cov (which pains me to say given I'm Cov born and bred).

MvE
Bidwell
Thomas
Binks
Eccles
Rudoni
Torp
Sakamoto
Simms
Wright

Wilson, Dasilva, Latibeudiere, Sheaf*, Allen, Palmer, BTA, EMC, Tavares

3-1 Cov Simms x 2, Wright

Could see Allen start ahead of Torp and maybe EMC ahead of Wright as he's not had much of pre-season.

They are saying Stoke is a nicer city than Coventry.

I've genuinely heard it all now. Coventry City centre is like NYC compared to Hanley.

It must be the worst town centre in the country these days. I'd say 60% is boarded up and closed.

Only 2 places worth visiting. Madeley is a nice spot ( about 3 miles beyond Keele University) and nearer to the stadium Trentham Gardens is lovely. Other than that don't bother.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to get an out of character opening day big away win. I’m feeding off other people’s confidence, it better not be misplaced.

Couldn’t even tell you what the opening day team will be, we have decent options to rotate it seems.
