.

Im sure the club will be actively looking fur clubs to loan out Obikwu, Dausch, Andrews, Howley, Tyler and Betjemann. But will also be open to Collins and a few others to be sold. Still a lot to do with the squad but its getting there.

Since we're running out of time, I don't think we'll see any more new faces in this window.

Think we may need to see more in before we see many outgoing loans. Andrews has been on the bench the last 2 matches. We are one forward injury or suspension from Obikwu been on the bench. Tyler is injured so won't be going anywhere. If Collins as 3rd choice gk stays I can see Bell having a loan. Howley looks like he is going out on loan. Burroughs having not been involved on Tuesday is likely to be loaned out too. The other youngsters are in my view dependent on any incomings.

Feels a bit like Groundhog Day. This time last year we were saying we will definitely bring in a midfielder because it was desperately needed and we didn’t.
Don’t forget Ayari…………I know we all want too.

Agree would be massive failing if we don’t add to squad. Sometimes have to take calculated gamble. We will be getting money next summer for quite a few players if we don’t go up, so it’s coming.

the squad is almost there, a dynamic midfielder along with sheaf transform the team and some experience at back is the cherry on top.

Yeah this is what worries me tbh, obviously some will say I’m bedwetting but I genuinely think our midfield is a big concern and we’re only 2 weeks away from the end of the window. You’d hope we’d have already got someone in so they have chance to settle into the squad.

I just can’t see that midfield holding up for a whole season, particularly if we get any further injuries to the likes of Eccles, Sheaf or Rudoni.

Fans of every top half team will be having this same debate …

Leeds, Sheffield united, Luton, Burnley etc etc will all expect to be promoted given their recent premier league experience ….

Leeds look like they are losing Rutter to Brighton today, The blades might lose Hamer, and so it goes on ….

We can be very insular at times.

Ffp doesn't allow for gambles anymore. You can only spend what you have in this financial year. Accounts can't be filed using money we might get.

If we are within 6 points of play offs come Jan we can always invest further then …. It’s not all about this window.

Leeds will struggle reaching top 6 if they don't step it up this window.

Losing Rutter and Summerville is a massive blow and that's putting it lightly. Roughly around 30 goals and 25 assists between them. They haven't even bought in a replacement for Summerville yet.

They've then lost Gray who was probably the brightest prospect across the EFL and a fabulous player. Kamara has also been sold, although Leeds fans seem less bothered about his departure.

Concerns that there might be more exits as well.

I don’t give a shit about what other teams are doing to be honest. It’s painfully obvious that if we are relying on Allen and Palmer then we won’t be going up

It's pretty clear Doug has done his dough for this window unless someone goes. Without that happening can only see a free transfer of loan coming in.

But loans cost money.

I’d take a loan at present to be honest, surely we can just get a loan from the prem

starting to get really concerned over the quality of our Centre midfield depth
Sheaf isnt dead! he'll be back.

Im also sure we have plenty of targets bubbling along in the background, id rather we wait and see if we get a cash boost from Hamer going (dont think Vik will now) than go for a lesser target because we can afford them now.

Yeah I get your point, but I’d rather a lesser target than nobody and have Jamie Allen starting games in the championship.

We’ve needed another midfielder since last summer, it seems the club are trying to focus on that position, just really need another addition there

we can still get someone in if Hamer doesn't leave. just about holding nerve, might as well go for the best target we can.

Torp, Eccels, Rudoni is fine for now. Tuesday was their first game together, they did ok and it'll take time to gel properly. we have 2 weeks 2 league games and the cup game we'll be fine

Agreed...utter madness.
Whenever i've watched Leeds games, Rutter's looked pretty poor.
Apparently Leeds paid around 30m for him (fee+extras) from Hoffenheim (i think), which is in itself also madness.
Rutter is bang average, and Leeds have won the lottery, it seems, by making a profit on him.

That's a pretty wild take. 2nd in the assist table last season and there's not a Leeds fan I've spoken to or seen online that isn't gutted he's left.

They've made about £110 million on transfers so far .

Technically, they haven't. £75m has had to go towards owed transfer instalments this summer and not all the £110m would've been received up front. There's also still about £115m owed in the near future as well which will inevitably be on their mind.

There will undoubtedly be an expectation from the owners that at least some of the losses incurred over the coming season will be in part plugged by incoming transfer fees.

Pretty dire situation to be in really but their decision making in regards to transfers over the past 2-3 seasons has been appalling so only themselves to blame.
