Points for Away games (3 Viewers)

Around 18 months ago a mate really pissed me off by having a moan about the points system and that it's a closed shop etc .... he wasn't a STH at the time ! He got a ST last year and again this year as well as doing some away games but missed out on a few and was still unhappy ! It annoyed me so much that I decided to go into geek mode during the season ad hoc and collect data - thought other would like to see this....it has shut my mate up :)

23 league games, 14 went to general sale and another to STH's with any points value
The other 8 games sold out at points band 400, 500, 600 (x2), 700, 800, 1000 & 1200

Allocations taken from CCFC website, sold out date and times from CCFC twitter account & where we didn't sell out I got the ticket numbers through a website that I can't remember (but will update when I get back on home if I can be bothered)

Away Cup games at the bottom too.

Hadn't kept a very close eye on it but i am surprised they got as low as that (as in points required), id got the impression they were selling at the higher bandings.

I will now start taking no notice of moaners who decide its unfair that the fans who go more get priority .. cheers

Maybe you could add how much each game was actually worth in terms of points too? Mostly 10, away midweek/cup 20 and away midweek & cup 30.

yes - good shout. I've already started it too for this season as more a habit on a monthly basis as I'm interested to understand how the points requirements increase with the number of fans on more points too

The worst is the bloke off Sky Blues Extra who never goes to games and incessantly moans about the points system. He now wants 10% of all away tickets to be a free-for-all... I bet he is going on Saturday...

You can guarantee this season will be the same with moaning about the points system. There are loads of tickets left for this weekend and there’s a fair chance it won’t sell out as you can ask for 4 tickets together and they are still available.

Apologies in advance…If anyone has the patience to explain to me, I’d like to know how the points system works please.
How many points is each game worth? Does this change? How many points is a ST worth? How long do points stay valid?
I’m confused as my mates daughter appears to have 300 points and she ain’t been up for years.

I did the same as you have above last season, for the same reasons as you (though mines not as well presented). But I have all the points for each game already if you need. Just DM me.

There was an Ipswich fan calling for STs to be abolished so everyone can go to 4-5 games a season… I wonder what games those are?! 🤔

If you get to 1100 points, you’re more or less guaranteed access to whatever game you want. That’s where I’m at despite not doing many games in the 22/23 season and the minus 300 for the COVID season 2020/21.

Some people need to ask themselves if they did Fleetwood away on a weekday night in the middle of winter in two successive seasons, just to see us lose 3-0, with Chaplin missing a penalty, one season and then a bore 0-0 draw the next, before commenting on priority fairness!
