I'd say rather than we were lucky to beat Oxford , it was more a case of Oxford were lucky we never stuck 7 past them .

We demolished them
We certainly totally outplayed them, and their keeper got m.o.m, but for all our domination, it took a 95th minute horrendous error to gift us the winner.

If we can tighten up our defence and not give easy goals away we will be some team this season.

I'm more confident in this squad getting promotion than at any other time under MR.

Gutted to miss this one as I’m out of the country.
l live a few miles from Ashton Gate and work with Bristol City season ticket holders.
They’re a better team than last year (when we got one point from them over two games).
Their fans are more behind the team now as well than the last few years so the atmosphere should be a little better (excluding the irritating early kick off!).

There is no such thing as an easy game in the Championship. We proved that last year losing to R’ham! If we’re not on our game tomorrow, we will lose.
That being said, our squad edges theirs. I’m hoping for a win, but a draw isn’t a bad result.

Cheers big man, il respond to that

Edit*

I was going to but my lord is the ramblings of an absolute buffoon looking through the timeline, hasn't had anyone ever respond to anything, just shouting into the abyss
SBT, you wait here while Saddlebrains tries to talk some sense into this raving derelict

Kitching has appeared at LB at times in his career (esp in his early days at Barnsley IIRC).

Not sure I’d pick him over Bidwell all things being equal. But defo an option. Wide players are getting bigger and it’s not unusual to see players over 6ft at full back these days.

The idea of Kitching running down the left wing and having to whip crosses in gives me nightmares

Both teams could be well matched. We have more than enough talent up front to score …..but can we keep a clean sheet??

I’ll be annoyed if we lose this to be honest. If we are to be in the mix we need to be picking up points consistently
Yeah, there's obviously a very long way to go in the season yet but to lose your opening two away games at sides tipped for nothing more than midtable obscurity would have to go down as a bad start. Bristol are an odd side really, seemingly well backed for years but never managed to do anything with it.

Have chosen the A46 to J9 at Tewkesbury. Cuts out some of the motorway. Hope it pays off. Not like Swansea the season before last.

Bristol may be a good side but they have not made the play offs since promotion to the Championship in 2016.

They are not feared in the way Leeds and dare I say Leicester were last year, and we got something somewhat surprisingly at one of those and should have at the other.

They have lost Conway.

A win is a distinctly possible but slightly odds against. A point against a potential play off contender is a must

Well score today but we’ll concede. Our Achilles heel is defence still

Remember when games at the start of the season used to be played in blazing sunshine and you could rock up in a t-shirt & shorts

Binks is better on the ball imo, if we were doing that I’d play him wide and Kitching central.

Didn’t realise it was a 12:30 KO or it was on Sky until ittoo late and I’m out in Birmingham from midday.

Any recommendations for where might show the game? There’s a Man U game on, so I assume most pubs will have that on.

Anyone for anything on this?

At this point, I’m aiming for a generic Walkabout type place hoping they’ll have it on.
