Even though I did really like Oasis at one point (their early stuff especially), I just can't get excited about this one.

Not unless they made some new material and it was really good meanwhile

The benefit gig for the Manchester bombing would have been the perfect time, feels like Liam has always been more open to it.
as @Saddlebrains said is no coincidence to me how Noel and his wife (who Liam, as expected quite openly said he couldn't stand) separated and he is all of a sudden game to be involved - divorce proceedings must be costing him a few quid

its quite the timing

back in 09. I seen them at the Ricoh then the following week went to Wembley gig

the novelty of oasis wore off by then with touts selling tickets half the price of face value

be interesting to see how much they go for tomorrow

Not sure tickets will be on sale as early as tomorrow, I’d expect them to be around £75 though for standing

A friend of mine was meant to see them at V Festival in 09 and Liam pulled out with a chest infection (He'd quite obviously been on the piss and just didn't fancy it) a week later was that night in Paris it all came to a head and they broke up

The novelty had probably worn off as they were (allegedly) barely on speaking terms towards the end - think Noel has openly admitted in the past that even he thought the last few shows they did were awful and if they hadn't have split when they had that bust up in Paris they'd have finished the tour and knocked it on the head anyway

only reason I done Wembley because I wanted to see kasabian as they toured with oasis apart from the cov gig

tout sites selling tickets for £20. looking back. Bargain £20 to see oasis and kasabian

Was the anecdote about Kasabian refusing to play Cov just cause they are Leicester fans a bit of an urban myth or genuinely true?

Only way I can see it is they announce at 8am, tickets on sale at 10?

Now this may be contentious to some, but I have to confess that the one Oasis track I simply cannot stand is "Don't Look Back In Anger."

I think Noel's voice is really whiny on it and some of the lyrics, I find, utterly ridiculous.

I would go as far to say, they are some of the very worst lyrics I have ever heard in a song. Rhyming for rhyming's sake.

I wince every time that song comes on the radio.

My favourite Oasis track I think is Columbia. Love that. Some other great tracks too of course, but I did find they rapidly went downhill at the end of their career.

Hopefully any new stuff will be of much better quality and more like Oasis at their best.

If it’s an announcement tomorrow then I’d guess presale starting Wednesday and general sale Friday or Saturday.

Didn’t give a shit about Oasis at the time but you hear the songs so often you end up kinda not having any choice but to like them.

Might go just because it will be a huge event and a decent chance it won’t happen again

I'll be selling my kids to get tickets! Jokes, obvs.

I saw them at the old Wembley, new Wembley and MK Bowl....the totally shaped my teen years. As someone who was/is short, being Irish and having a name more associated with the female race, I was an easy target at school. I wasn't bullied or anything but it wasn't easy.

Listening to Oasis as I went through secondary school just gave me some kind of swagger. Their music, their interviews, their style...it was all amazing and integral to that Britipop era in the 2nd half of the 90s which was probably the last great era.

I couldn't be more excited by this if it as a reunion. I feel like a young kid on Xmas eve.
