While, as others have said, I don't think he is related to Noel, I can't understand your reasoning why Noel having two daughters means he can't be his grandson. One of those daughters could be Todd's mum, surely?

Presume SBD is working on the basis that the surname would be less likely to be Cantwell with two daughters (though certainly not impossible).
