He spent 6 million on 2 centre halves that now sit on the bench to be fair

No they are squad players like everyone else. Why do fans think just because we sign someone they are now the go to guaranteed starter?

Simms is 23 off a 19 goal season and improving rapidly, he’s worth a lot more than Billing bournmouth are doing there best to offload. People have gone mad…

I think we need to be more honest about the 19 goal season .

13 in the league which is fair , but in just 9 matches ,3 already this season without a goal he just doesn't strike me as an out and out goalscorer .
He's scored 13 in 49 league matches which is almost 1 in 4 and in 9 league games , so 40 league games without a goal , that's almost 80% of matches he's not scored in

Wright is the better goalscorer

I quite like simms tbh , but I'd rather sign billing plus cash .. billing must be worth 15 mill plus

Very true, jury is still out on whether they are worth the outlay IMO.

Lack of depth and a terrible start is what stopped us getting play offs last year, not the midfield. People are massively over reacting
This year, it's lack of depth in midfield and RB that could (with no reinforcement) means we miss out again. Still hanging to the hope they wouldn't be stupid enough to let Palmer go if we didn't have someone coming in.

If we had bids at the start of the window and got say around £15 mil for Sheaf I’d probably take it and reinvest in midfield, problem is it’s too late now, can’t see much happening this late on.

Sheaf’s great but I think he’s more replaceable than Hamer and the issue atm is we haven’t got much cash to invest in the midfield. Buy 3 decent players with the £12m-£15m and we’d be set. We’ll probably end up starting most games without Sheaf at this rate anyway 😂
Well presumably money isn’t an issue otherwise spunking it on BTA and Bassette is a massive error.

If the Simms swap deal for Billing + cash is true, I’d be seriously considering it.. We have Haji, BTA and Bassette for the CF position, it would free up EMC to play on his preferred left hand side and a midfield 3 of Billing, Sheaf and Rudoni would dominate almost every team in this league.

Dovin
MVE Thomas Binks Bidwell
Billing Sheaf Rudoni
Tats Wright EMC

Wins a lot of football matches.

The problem is that Billing's wage demands are way way out of our league, it's a non starter on that basis
