Because a guy on a forum said he thinks we’ll play not to concede in the first half? I didn’t realise Pete knew our game plan so intimately hours before the game!

Because I believe that guy based on evidence of watching us. I’m being hyperbolic but we aren’t a minnow in this division any more and expectations change. We’re well past 9 behind the ball and hope for some Vik or Gus magic.

If Sheaf isn’t fit, I would try something different. I think BTA with his press and energy would be interesting behind Simms and he has the pace to run in behind defensive lines.

Dovin
MVE Lati Binks JDS
Rudoni Eccles
Tatsu BTA Wright
Simms

I hope we win, and some of the people on here making such negative predictions get a reality check. I honestly cannot believe some of the shite I have read on here in the last 24 hours. We are a really good team and I think are getting through the gears slowly to where we want to be. That doesn't mean it wouldn't have been nice to bring one or two more in, but we are absolutely good enough to do some serious damage in this league.

Simms to confirm he's one of the best strikers in the league today.

How did you work that out?

We've had no Sheaf and we're 9th already, without even hitting form yet, and without a settled back 4 or midfield.
We,ve not hit form because of a lack of Sheaf though. He makes a big difference

League table is completely irrelevant after 3 games. If you want to look at the league table we are closer to the relegation places in points than the top 2.

I hope we win and Sheaf scores a hat trick.

On a serious note, though, I think it’s the expectation above all else that this was the season we really kicked on. 2 strikers each close to 20 goals last season, opportunity to build the squad out, I’ll be honest I was hoping we’d be challenging for the title (and who knows, we may still do) but the start has been slow, if not in terms of results then certainly performances. I hope you’re right and it comes together in the coming weeks, but by the time we get there it may be playoffs at best.
