Thought Eccles was very good and so too MVE. Binks had a decent game too.

Torp started well, but disappeared as the game wore on.

Rudoni just wasn't in the game. Expect so much more from him.

Saka was disappointing and Wright, after a good start, faded as well

Bidwell had a very poor game and
Simms was poor too.

Not too many positives to take out of that game

Thought Binks was okay and Basette looked energetic, but still raw. About it for positives.

Need to see a lot more from the other new signings overall

Wouldn't give anyone above a 4. Robbins a 2. for not making more changes at half time. Why does he waste another 10 minutes to see if the crap he has just watched for the first 45 is going to be any different? I seriously think we are in a relegation fight already and if anyone says its too early and over reactive, the transfer window is a bloody long way off to bring in someone to provide a forward momentum in this sideways looking team.

Van Ewijk, Binks, Eccles all good. It’s almost as if Robins has too many forward options. I wouldn’t have bought Wright off. Not a good day for Bidwell and someone needs to tell Simms he’s still got to try even though he got the odd goal last season. At least Mason Clark started running at them a bit later on

Utter rubbish

Dovin 5

He has little game play intelligence. His close range distribution is poor and he fails to find players to make a break situation. Wilson, for his faults, can gather and then sprint forward and by-pass a few opponents and turn a quick counter. We have pace in the team now. Ok, he can reaction-save but tbh he needs to be benched and get some training. Typical example of his lack of nouse today: Sims off and Bass on; Dovin goes to long ball. C’mon.

MVE 7

Without his pace tracking back we’d be f’d. wasn’t as direct as he can be but at least showed some effort.

Binks 6

Distribution from back is poor. It seems that we are trying to play 2 ball playing centre backs, but without an attacking mid outlet to get it to then it makes a mockery of the tactic.

Lati 5

He’s the skipper - he’s not organising that team and it shows.

Bidwell 6

Some great crosses and runs but was caught out of position on occasion. That said, played better than most.

Eccles 4

Most passes are backwards and the forward ones often weighted wrongly. Too hard and the winger has to let it hit him and bounce and all momentum is gone.

Torp 4

Lord only knows what’s going on with him. Thought we’d bagged a star when first signed but today wasn’t in the races.

Rudoni 5

Thought he was signed as an O’Hare replacement but seems to play far deeper than an attacking midfielder. As a result the gap between the striker and midfield is too big and the striker can’t play off the defender shoulder since short balls and put throughs from the middle aren’t coming. We had Palmer and COH as attacking 8’s, now no one.

Wright 7

Looked dynamite first half - flagged later but, was rested midweek. His energy to score in extra time last league home match suggests you keep him on.

Tats 6

Some good moments but looks like he’s made of glass and knows it. Understandable that he’s being cautious. Hope his injury isn’t a set back.

Sims 5

Two great chances but looks like his bottle has gone. Slow to press. Needs to be benched. Deflated.

Subs:

Bassette 7

At least he tries. Good cutting in from wide but he’s not a target man who will hold the ball up.

Allen 5

Sorry, he’s not up to this standard.

JDS 5

Nearly gave another goal away at the end and is generally poor.

EMC 6

Flashes of something but no end product.

BTA ?

Cameo.

overall:

Poor tactics, no steel in midfield, no flair and no urgency when behind.

We are going backwards.

Dovin 6
MVE 5 probably his worst game for the club
Lati 6 defended well but so limited with the ball and absolute saps momentum, get Thomas back in
Bink 6 did ok but as I've repeatedly said gets dragged around too much
Bidwell 4 worst performance for the club
Eccles 7 probably our best performer overall
Torp 5 did well first half but anonymous second, 3 opportunities in the first half to shoot or put a ball in and fluffed each one
Rudoni 4 he needs to be coming back towards his own goal and starting to link the play, instead of hiding behind opposition players
Wright 6 started well but has got to do better with his shooting and crossing chances
Sakamoto 5 crossing poor and has become quite predictable, not helped by never having a ball inside (Rudoni)
Simms 5 has got to do better with his chances and thinking about what he's going to do

Subs
EMC 6 some nice dribbling but failed to lift his head and pick a player in the box
BTA 4 looked like a kid in the playground, head down headless chicken
Allen 5 was poor and looks like he's put weight on to me, that ludicrous reverse ball he tried said it all
Da Silva 5 better than Bidwell but still poor
Bassette 6 makes runs but our ponderous, why take 2 touches when you can have 11, team aren't even looking for them

I thought, apart from Bidwell and DaSilva when he came on, we were strong defensively. Not sure Dovin had a shot to save, which says a lot. We just didn't keep the ball well enough or move it quick enough in other areas of the pitch. As has been the case mostly this season, we are so static. Norwich's fluidity and movement was far superior.

No one above a 6. Utterly lightweight. Midfield, as predicted by everyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge, was non existent

The midfield had decent control of the game in the first half. Lost it second but is that personnel, tactics or both?
Tactics, surely?

Lati on a yellow and therefore needs to be cautious in the tackle as centre half.

Move him to mid to put some steel in. Ok, might still get a booking but it’s a different situation. Kitching to CB.

Bringing Jamie Allen on?

Taking off Wright when he’s the most likely to score? Tbf to Wright his tackling back and interceptions at the back have come on leaps and bounds.

These subs alone say everything.

Dovin 5 - distribution poor
MVE 6 - Didn’t get forward enough and when did crosses were poor.
Lati 5 - Not his fault the midfield keep giving them the ball to create.
Binks 5 - Same as Binks
Bidwell 4 - Worst game for us.
Eccles 5 - Square and backward passes rinse and repeat.
Torp 5 - same as Eccles
Sakamoto 5 - looks scared of getting hurt again.
Rudoni 4 - massive let down so far. Just watching their players stand there with the ball.
Simms 4 - has to score when clean through.
Wright 5 - Cross/ pass the fucking ball every now and then instead of always shooting from stupid angles.

Subs
Bassette 6 - Movement too good for our midfield.
BTA 4 - Pointless
EMC 5 - Couple of flashes wasted on the right.
Allen 4 - Even worse than the rest of midfield enough said
Dasilva 4 - Fresh legs but never took his man on once and nearly gifted them a goal.

Maybe I watched a different game to some, second half we were poor for large parts, we had 3 big chances with two for Simms and 1 for Rudoni. But some are making our this was Stoke from 2 seasons ago or Preston from last season. It's highly frustrating, we looked scared second half but we weren't horrific all game.
From the game, Rudoni is not convincing me the Huddersfield fans are wrong about him. Bidwell was very poor, Torp looks like the speed of the game isn't going to suit him, Lati should have closed down Sainz, Simms wasteful

Took my girlfriend to her first game ever today - no interest in football and doesn’t have a clue about it.

Even she could see Bidwell isn’t up to it
