If Tats gets injured have to play lati rb and mve rw I guess. How we can have so many left sided attackers is beyond me

I’d say BTA, or even Normski, but I take the point…

Bigger issue is if Milan gets injured, or alternatively worn out from covering everyone else all game

We reached a playoff final. Nothing at all happened last year, did it ?

no it didn’t, and bottom line is we are STILL in the championship, so whether we reached a play off final, FA Cup semi or whatever we still haven’t been promoted have we?

and remind me again how we were looking in that play off final? having lost a couple of players to injury and having no real back up?

and remind me what happened last January transfer window when we could have been in with a shot of pushing on into the play off positions with a couple of shrewd acquisitions?

my point, in case you haven’t understood, is that no lessons seem to have been learnt, and so yes, we have been here before, because we keep doing the same thing, making the same mistakes and not learning from it…

When we get promoted you won't be happy either.

With Raphael and Sakamoto injured, it might pave the way for Tavares, who looked like he would be out of the club 24 hours ago. If he can show the form he did v Man Utd, it may turn out to be a positive twist of fate.

Not the player he was last year. Very reluctant to take his man on. Meant we had no penetration down the right. Good at retaining possession but that was about it. He should be dropped and the formation if need be changed. Bizarrely we have a spare left winger

Weak shite anyway.

Yeah he was shite today. Looks scared of losing the ball. I don’t care if he does if he’s running at his man or actually trying something rather than passing it backwards to MVE.

He is just getting too predictable. Defenders are just reading him and the fact he will beat them on the outside, then inevitably cut back onto his left and they are putting the tackle in.

Don’t even remember him trying this little trick today tbh!

It's all he did just cutting back onto his left. When last season when he went outside he put some decents balls in of his right foot. He needs to mix it up. Also today he seemed to want to play at walking pace.

He was awful today, couple of really stupid moments from him as well, MVE went on the overlap and he delayed the ball until he was well offside before playing it and he should have stayed down when he was injured, didn't help with the physios, running on the pitch then off it again.

Have you ever been to Japan or spoken with a single Japanese person in your life? I'm guessing with the level of bubble wrap you surround yourself with, that would be a no on both counts.

I agree it was maybe a bit of an irrelevant thing for the poster to say, but that's about as far as it goes. You'll get a few pats on the back with those on here who are as cucked as you (research that term, it isn't a homophobic slur), but you don't live in the real world at all. Engrish.com is a real website created with all the mistakes that happen naturally upon translation from the language to English. The word itself relates to Japanese speakers' tendency to struggle to pronounce the English /l/ and /r/ distinctly arising from the fact Japanese has only one liquid phoneme (usually romanised r).

Another clueless idiot getting offended for no genuine reason, and yes, I have travelled and work with many Japanese people who find it absolutely hilarious. I'll take their interpretation of the whole thing much more seriously than someone who's biggest life experience is Whitby seaside.
I somehow doubt Clarky was aware of the nuances of the term he used when he posted it. On that basis it clearly is racist to me. I can see why people find what he said offensive

Doyle played fantastically.

A CB pairing of Doyle and Mcnally shits all over Lati and Binks

A CM of Hamer and Sheaf shits all over what we had today

and Gyok shits all over any of our strikers

yet some told me we’d progressed…
Yep. How did recruitment not secure McNally circa £2 mill over Liam K (£4 mill)or Binks or Lati or Thomas. McNally on his own trumps them 4 !!

Teams are resorting to manhandling him and he’s become more passive in taking players on and turning them inside out.
Its about time our playesr started kicking lumps out of these opposition thugs.
I've always thought of Norwich as a decent club but not any more.
We need Doyler mark 2.

I thought it was a fair tackle at the time (not seen a replay) but also, we should have been making a big deal out of it anyway. I’m not sure if we did, but that’s what I’d want to see. That bit of gamesmanship.

I'd think so, certainly Lati got involved with the bench/medical bloke's and ref I think?

I had no idea what that was all about until afterwards. Ridiculous.
I assumed at the time he was booked for preventing the physios from coming onto the pitch, which he surely only did because he didn't want his teammate to have to come off the field. Bizarre.

There was another in the second half that made no sense either but can't remember who it was.

Let’s see if I can get this thread back to football and Tats in particular.

Genuine question…who plays in his position if he’s injured?

Raphael is the cover for him but as you know he is out injured as well. A lot of teams will struggle if they lose both their first and second choices in a particular position.

I reckon Bassette or BTA could play there in an emergency. Probably MVE as well but I prefer to keep him where he is.

Ah is that what he got booked for? I was in Block 17 so couldn’t really see what was going on down in that corner.
Yeah, we're in 17. And my eyesight is shit too, which doesn't help.

It's a shame Raphael is injured, as I think Sakamoto could do with some time out of the starting line-up, maybe coming off the bench. Both Wright and EMC should be starting off recent form too, but both really need to be playing off the left.
