The words don't matter, it's all part of the variation and helps the atmosphere which tbh was the worst in ages on Saturday, desperately need more songs for the players albeit they've not really earned them yet, but anything that keeps it going is good.

We won't have any songs left if we stop singing it.

The Doug song was probably the only time it got noisy.

Worst atmosphere in years Saturday. Embarrassing.

Yep think we should go back to the days of everyone sitting there in silence with all the pensioners and prawn sandwich brigade.

The cringeworthy Doug King song...

Thanks
Wouldn't say cringeworthy as much as just patently untrue, he never said he was going to get SISU out.

Same reason I hate Oxford chanting about being the greatest team, no you're not, you play in the Championship in front of roughly 11,000 fans.

My first game due to holidays and stuff.
I was told that the Oxford game was off the scale, so I was disappointed at the atmosphere on Saturday even Northampton was loader.

Oxford was decent but nowhere near as good as people are making out. They outsung us for large parts.

Woke up this morning feeling fine
I had Doug King on my mind
Thought we signed someone, like he said we would
Oh yeah
Something tells me he's been misunderstood a lying coont!

If anyone spends any time thinking about Doug King they need to get out more.

I was in Cirencester (so had to miss it) Only bonus was seeing a jogger out wearing a City top, plus whist having a meal and a beer, Also got landed with some gobby loadsamoney cockney families. Their kids were looking up their fixtures 'Qarabag'I heard, and I thought - bet they're bloody Spurs. Checked their fixture list, and sure enough. Want to turn them over even more now.

Why? The bloke has come in and given us £40m+ to spend and a real platform to have a go at getting Premier League football.

It’s early in the season but if we continue this poor form then the blame lies firmly away from Doug and with either the coaching staff or recruitment or both.

But that also depends on who instigated those changes in the coaching set-up etc. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

why? it's a great song.
might not strictly be accurate. but if it pisses sisu off then it's fine by me!
It's actually got Herman's sorry Peter Noone a bit of a resurgence and has been picked up and adapted by certain other club's,it ok with me!
