The question wasn’t whether or not it happens in Haiti, the question was if it happened in that American town or not. Clearly, it didn’t.

Again, I wish I lived in your world. I don't understand why you cannot see the bigger picture. Probably you don't want to. This isn't about one day in Ohio.

No, I understand your reasoning: it happens in Haiti so wherever the Haitians go it will follow.

The difference to me is it matters that this group of people in Ohio isn’t being smeared by a lie. The truth should matter, shouldn’t it?

It’s amazing how childlike he is.
He’s also forgotten that in 2016, he’d take any difficult questions or criticisms and flip them on either his opponents or the moderators. He’s forgotten how to do that and has instead spent far too much time indulging in right wing Twitter nonsense.

Is that due to his age? I'm early 40's and already notice I'm not as sharp as I was in my early 30's.

It will be disastrous for the world if Trump wins.

I don’t think Harris is a particularly strong candidate - a decent one would surely be miles ahead in the polls - but she simply has to win.

Why would it be more disastrous than last time? (Asking as I'm not well enough educated to know)

To be fair to her, she inherited the position of Trump being up on Biden, so she’s managed to catch up and then overtake Trump in not much time.

Trump was surely only ahead of Biden because of the latter’s advancing senility.

Trump is so appalling that I would like to think that almost any half-decent candidate could beat him. Harris only being slightly ahead isn’t inspiring.

Hopefully she will win but I’m not putting my house on it.

For a start he seems to be bearing even bigger grudges than last time, probably because of his perception that he was cheated out of victory in 2020 and the multiple criminal charges and convictions.

I think he is even more dangerous and unpredictable than before.

During his previous tenure what did he do that was dangerous? I don't mean inciting riots when he lost, I mean during his actual tenure? Again not American so I genuinely don't know.

Assassinating Iranian military figures on Iranian soil for a start, and reversing the Iran deal in general

Still a theme from the last election. It was "anyone but Trump". Biden was challenging this theory with the concerns about his age and mental competence. TBF any of the Democratic candidates would have made inroads into Trump's lead.
Plus the switch from the focus on Biden's age and competency to Trump's is also telling.

Because last time he thought he could be like in his businesses - what he said went. When people starting saying no, or the law won't let you, he got arsey.

He's not willing to let that happen this time. He (or at least his team) are basically going to purge all sorts of officials, judges, lawyers etc. to fit in his rabid loyalists. It'll basically be like Johnson's 2019 intake only far worse and far less intelligent. He's openly said that ' when' he wins he's going after them. He basically sees them as traitors. He got lucky in that he got to appoint 1/3 of the Supreme Court, so he does potentially have a basis to start subverting and changing the laws. They've already stated that a president should be immune from prosecution so that's already started.

Some reporting it as an exchange of fire between two people and Trump happened to be in the vicinity and some are reporting he was targeted so it'll be interesting to see what the actual facts are as that's quite a different set of reports.
