So much for our depth in attacking areas, one injury and we are fucked. Would have thought EMC would play instead of Tatsu but maybe he is playing left if Haji is being rested
I've no real issue with MvE playing the more advanced role except for the lack of cover at RB. If it's a 3 - I would have gone binks over jet lagged Lati. What I hadn't expected is that Wright aside our bench suddenly looks a bit 'meh' again.

Edit: could have been a bit harsh on the bench looking at it again.

Would be odd if it's 3-5-2 and he's gone with EMC and Simms instead of Bassette and Simms.. but the way they have the lineup listed, it seems that way?

Could be that joel is playing holding midfield and we aren't playing wing backs , either way jeol had to play because well why wouldn't he

I like Torp, and I think he is and will be very good, but I can’t quite work out what he is - I don’t think he’s a DM, so either Eccles will play defensively on his own holding, with Torp and Rudoni in front of him, which scares me a little, or Rudoni will play alongside Eccles maybe, with Torp further forward?

I’d like to see BTA given a shot in the more forward position, it might not work but with his pace and direct runs it might…

If MVE is playing right wing, surely it would have been better to play BTA/Wright/Bassette there and have MVE at right back instead of Lati

Well on a plus point, it looks like we're concentrating on the cup this year.

Let's just agree to put this defeat behind us and look forward to beating Tottenham U21's on Wednesday!

One thing is that Robins odd lineups actually tend to work quite well, so might not be as bad as people think.

Although it could also be a fucking disaster who knows

great tactic, confuse the opposition, who cares what the formation is so long as it works, id thought we’d of put an extra body in midfield seeing as that’s where we’re struggling, still looks like torp Eccles rudoni ? Unless he’s dropping lati in there ?

was just going to say, the bench is definitely stronger, and remember two or three players also out, but it still does look like we haven’t quite built a strong enough squad to challenge seriously this season - might be a different story when RBR is fit and January comes around, who knows

assume MVE drops back when needed, and Lati covers when needed - if it worked against a premier league team it should be pretty effective against Watford 🤔

Oxford beat Norwich and Stoke now. Shows how pathetic we've been.

I think it’s pretty mad that we made Stoke look like world beaters. Oxford even managed more possession against them, which is mad considering they clearly lacked a lot of quality from what I saw. Fair play to the Oxfords!

The problem in midfield 2nd half v Norwich wasn’t lack of bodies, it was lack of trust & understanding in the shape we were playing.

The bench is okish. It is what we have said though it's the strength in depth still lacking. From the first team picture I guess Moore was the outfield player to miss out, has he played at all for the u23s or u21s this season? Just hope we get no more injuries and Sheaf and Saka are back quickly
