I'll say it again, it doesn't matter how much of a clown Trump is. It's a massive concern for democracy if people keep trying to assassinate him.

Not sure where the people thinking it is fake are getting it from. This looks pretty serious to me.

It is indeed deeply concerning for a candidate to have people actively trying to kill him. It is also deeply concerning for democracy to have a candidate who says it is his right to interfere with elections.

The FBI on Sunday said it is investigating a second assassination attempt on former President Trump.

Trump’s campaign said the GOP nominee for president is safe, and the FBI said it is responding to the situation.

Authorities at a Sunday press conference said a Secret Service agent opened fire on a man with a gun near Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The agent did so after spotting a man with a rifle who pushed the firearm’s muzzle through the perimeter of the course, authorities said

A tweet from a randomer and the Guardian link makes about as much sense as him, but it doesn't say he admitted to making it up. He just says he's willing to create stories, which is odd, but not the same thing.

Again though, the point about this is being missed spectacularly.

why is it? we could go back n forth all day on lies both here and over the pond for both parties

they are all as bad as each other

biden had the easiest ride known to man during his presidency. hardly ever on the news over here. trump when president was in the news daily

media have massive agendas and starmer getting easy time too compared to Boris who was main news for days over how his decorated rooms were funded

politics is at the gutter no matter who side you are on. they all lie

It’s not really the context of the lie that’s the issue. It’s that Harris wasn’t fact checked once and Trump was multiple times regardless of content being racist or otherwise.

The Harris comment regarding unemployment was an outright lie and should have been challenged for consistency

What's it got to do with democracy? An American president was assassinated 60 years ago, did democracy end then?
