At the end of the day, no man is bigger than the club.

I love Robins and he's been the best manager we've had since Jimmy Hill and a club legend who deserves a statue next to him.

These type of performances cannot continue. We look like we have no idea how to execute a game plan, and it's just sloppy and lethargic.
I don't want Robins to go, I'd love for him to take us up to the prem so he can say he went all the way with us. The issue is, we'll be lucky to finish much higher than 15th as it stands and there's no way Wright, MVE, Simms, Sheaf or any of our top players stay if that's where we finish.

At the end of the day, would you take Robins here next season after finishing 15th and losing our best players or a change and possibly moving up the table and playing to our potential?
Every time this season I've thought a good performance would be the kickstart the following game has been a new level of shite.

I hope Robins turns it around and we end up in the playoffs again, I really do. But we have to look at it from a club perspective at this point.
I'm not saying he should be sacked tomorrow but say by Christmas we're still in around the bottom, what do we do?

How good is Robins tactically though?

I’m starting to think we need a manager who is ready and able to implement a truly modern tactical system. Some of the decisions Robins is making really don’t suggest he has a consistent tactical idea.

£30m for 9th in the Championship isn’t good.
Hold on let's not change the record, I was angrier that everybody last season but was told we tailed off because of a small squad and the cup run .. now fans are saying fuck that we should've finished top6 and a cup semi final with tavares coming on away at Southampton?

But we've not had a bad season yet in 7 .. expectations have been met and now fans want him gone again because of a few bad games without our captain etc ? Crazy mindset

After our last couple of seasons bad starts I've predicted we'll turn it round, I don't see it this season.
There's a weakness at the heart of this squad.

But yeah, we've had a great 7 seasons, he deserves to at least see this one out.

Because we now have a coaching squad almost as big as our playing squad, it would cost a fortune to sack the lot. If Robins did go, any manager with pedigree would want to bring in their own backroom staff surely.

We haven't even played a game with poppadom legs yet

We haven't had a bad season under Robins and fans are after throwing him under the bus .. the only way it gets bettwr with anybody else is top 6 consistently and a promotion .

It's mental

Fickle fuckers. There has been a lot of change behind the scenes as I said not long ago, just get behind and support the lads and have fun whatever will be will be, I believe it will click sooner rather than later as we have witnessed the performance which they are capable of, today was shit but they are only human and everyone has bad days from time to time, wasn't so long ago everyone was hailing Robins, he's a great manager and gets the pludits from many who have played professionally. Not many managers would have done what robins has done for us. If it wasn't for Robins we would be dissolved by now.

Curiously who would you look at realistically?

I wonder how much stat gathering is affecting players.

“you got 63.7% completed passes player x”

Player “x” thinks “ill get more credit for short safe passes backwards”.

Well look we have an awful fixture next week away at Leeds so to expect a win there is generally a big ask .

It is what it is

Yes but Robins has generally had us playing some very good football over the years .. I've been everywhere with them and it's been brilliant largely.

Southgate was a boring c**t from the get go
What we’re seeing now is the same as what Southgate served up. If it carries on…

They've been asking people to buy premier league packages, support the club. This has happened but we're not seeing results on the pitch. We've spent plenty the last couple of years and have good players (although a midfielder or two short). There's no real excuse.

Few points

  1. Team. Same starting 11 from Weds. seriously WTF. MVE was at half pace most of the game. Haji Wright either knackered or carrying a knock. Kitchimg and Dasilva were excellent against Watford but don’t start. Why didn’t he give Sheaf 45 mins? Simms on the bench. I just can’t fathom the argument for that lineup.
  2. We were well off our game today. We grinded out some chances but 1-2 flatters us.. We have lost to Stoke. Norwich and Swansea, who all looked average at best
  3. Referee. Worst I’ve seen in years.
  4. Swansea - boring team. Knocking it around their defenders, time wasting from the start.
  5. Mason-Clark - Looks clumsy, and out of his depth to be honest. Allen atrocious before his injury.
  6. Rudoni & Eccles played well
