Thoughts?

One of the comments made me laugh… ‘I identify as a lesbian zebra’

Horrendous imo. Also we've done a few of these now. I hope it doesn't gone across homophobic, because thats not my intention but must we really have one every season now?

Yes it doesn't affect me, no nobody is forcing me to buy it, yes we still have issues in equality that need addressing, but we should be looking at positive ways for inclusion this is a bit box ticking.

A few of those goalkeeping shirts we’ve done over the last couple of seasons have been similar colours where they are clearly trying for it to look like stained glass, they could have just done it as quite a load goalkeeping shirt, don’t think it needed its own label as an ‘equality shirt’

Unnecessary box ticking like you say.

Looked better on that post than it did on the CCFC store up close… bit loud ey

Don't think it can be called homophobia, if you're advocating for stronger inclusion schemes.

But yeah this is an awful shirt, last one was much nicer.

As with any form of prejudice to tackle it at its root you have to educate.

So on a personal standpoint I'm just not really a fan of novelty acts like this as I think it's just more the club wanting to be seen doing something rather than wanting to put time and resource in making a tangible difference.

Doesn't help it genuinely looks like it came out of Kat Slater's wardrobe. They could've at least made it look nice.

Is this the away shirt with the city wards built into the fabric, but with the rainbow colours instead? Just that the pattern stands out way more here than in the white.

You know/see I think this is the approach to everything to do with the club,it feels completely too corporate for me, but then I'm of a generation that is baffled by modern society, totally agree about the education point, not a fashion parade that elicits more fund's to the machine!

Inclusivity's a good thing, so there's nothing wrong with producing one every year. Nobody has to buy one, after all.

That's a terrible shirt, though. Pat Butcher is right.

What ! No female sizing! That's discriminatory!

It’s a nice take on the away shirt and seeing a lot of the rainbow clobber being worn to games so seems to be popular and a money spinner.

On the design, not really a fan of the multicoloured kits - the last one I bought (but barely worn) was the 3rd kit from 2022/23.

Commercially, the club has done the right thing bringing the merchandise in house - there’s so many options for training gear now.

the shirt itself is terrible but if it helps to make people feel more included and keeps it as a discussion topic especially against the younger generation then have at it

funny how annoyed people get by these things when it really shouldn't affect them at all
Agreed. Only thing I find offensive is that it looks like shit, no issue with the premise.
