I saw an article the other day about them building a hotel, do not know where but they have a strategy to expand as a leisure business.

That ones from months ago when they were talking about building a new state of the art training & leisure facility by the Ricoh. The one the CT denied had ever been mentioned when they announced they were moving into the Higgs.
and I just found this one about an indoor leisure centre near the Ricoh

And that one is just bizarre, they want to build an indoor venue for sports and entertainment near the Ricoh, there's one on the side of the stadium!

Another hotel. They might want to look at the vacancy rates at their own hotel or the Novotel. Or the lapsed planning permission for one on Rowleys Green Lane. Then again, stranger things...

The sooner everybody accepts that Wasps are here to stay the quicker we can move on. That includes Sisu if they still have any doubts.

CCFC need to work within that constraint as there is no doubt that they will need to negotiate with Wasps in the short term on Stadium and Academy.

Nothing will happen until the legals are dropped and Wasps will offer a higher but fair deal if the current deal runs out.

I'm not disputing that they didn't get good value for the taxpayer. I always thought it was sold on the cheap, my position never changed on what I thought it was worth unlike the posters who said it was a worthless white elephant concrete eye saw only then to claim Wasps under paid for the worthless white elephant.

So what you're saying then that if they did more marketing the sale would be acceptable to Wasps or whoever. What's the precedent on selling a stadium with no anchor tenant? Has it ever happened before? Just how many people do you think are in the market for an empty stadium in Coventry? Remember, some on here would have you believe that we were the only show in town. Again, my position never changed on that. I was one of the posters who got regularly laughed at for suggesting that someone else would be interested. I was suggesting that a short circuit oval shale track was most likely as the new home for the Bee's, although someone else did suggest the Wasps and this was all before AL announced that they'd listen to any serious offer. All laughed at.

Who? Italia?

Edit - yeah, just looked, thought he'd been banned.
That was always something they used to say on the Wasps forums; 'they banned me from SBT'.

I'm fairly sure the mods here have never banned someone for simply being stupid...

Btw, doesn't MMM write in the style of that PWKH (or whatever his litigious name was)...

No - PWKH is a twat who once threatened legal action against me for calling him baloon boy. MMM is just a twat

You can tell it’s pre season and before any signings as we are back talking about the dearly departed London Wasps.

The removal of those parasites is only trumped by the fools at Sisu going.

The good old days, I got some bollocks saying I should be careful as he has lawyers in the family :ROFLMAO:
Recall talking to him at a Sky Blue Trust meeting in the Squirrel when he worked out who I was and gave a similar message about lawyers, Webber Shandwick?

Them dying was every bit as galvanising as SISU leaving, maybe more in a way. Watching City playing in a stadium covered in that rancid badge was like being cucked in front of a live audience.

It doesn't need a Wasps supporter to see that Wasps have pulled off a shrewd bit of business by moving to the Ricoh, regardless of all the historical politics.

Likewise it doesn't need a Wasps supporter to see that in the short time that they have been there they have done pretty well on and off the pitch, raking in a pretty good income from the whole operation, sitting in a play off place in the league, in a European quarter final, buying in some of the best players in world rugby, not bad for a team that's going to fail because they sell £1 tickets to school kids. Whether that continues remains to be seen but if it was my business/franchise I'd be pretty happy at the moment.

There a few on here who are hardly representative of decent and loyal CCFC supporters and you sit with your head up your arse in complete denial of whats happening before you, finding excuses to cling on to, blowing smoke up each others arses and bullying anyone who dares to have a differing opinion (like I say hardly representative of the decent and loyal CCFC supporters in the city). Whilst there are hundreds if not running into thousands of decent CCFC supporters who have embraced the change and are enjoying it, along with thousands of other local people who have likewise found a new interest in sport for their families, which probably equally applies to CCFC as it does to Wasps. Whatever your sport of choice or whatever team you support the Ricoh now seems a decent place to go.

Wake up !!!

Tony had an absolute mare in this thread. Origin story for why he now exists solely in the politics thread perhaps.

Jeez, to think, we were once beset by both Wasps and SISU.

I wouldn't wish my own worst enemy on one of them, let alone both, yet we were subjected to both of those (insert proverbial here) and for many years!

You need to hang around for a while Ranstone. Now it turns out that Chris Anderson agrees with what myself, Italia and a few others have been saying there's a few posters around here who need a new fall guy and you seem to be fitting the bill. Good luck with that. Just state the obvious and you'll never be right. That's how it works. Think of it as charity work. A care in the community sort of thing.
