Asante gets MOTM. Buzzing around causing mayhem and indecision to their back line. Got himself a good goal too. Simms is a good player who in the games he has participatedhad zero service unlike our play tonight. Crosses were free flowing into their box, many from Bidders excellent left foot. Anoher very good performance from him btw. Experience and guile matter, and he scored a brilliant goal.
Wright more like himself. Rudoni putting in plenty of work, Eccles best game for a long time. Mason Clarke still finding the step up a bit tough but contributed well overall. Sheaf was class above at times but you could see from mistakes he is not fully match fit, though it made a big difference to our play and the players around him. Central defenders a little eratic but got there in the end. Wilson wanting the shirt. VanEwik, what can you say Mr consistent and very good. Torp was quality when he came on for his cameo. All round good showing tonight. Running, winning the second ball, in their faces and clipping at their heels. It all disrupted Blackburns players and they just couldn't get going. I honestly don't think Blackburn are that good. A good start they have had but their run of opposition in those games I would gladly have swapped.
On to the next two and obviously look like two possible wins. Do that now and we all will start thinking about promotion again.

Hard to pick a stand out player tonight. Midfield three were brilliant and so was Haji and BTA.

Wilson still gives me a heart attack at times, but I do love how much he grates on the opposition players and even got a yellow card out of one.

EMC still looks a bit off the pace to me and lacking that confidence, but great assist and hopefully he can kick on

It was good to see his teammates give him plaudits for his hand in the goal , they know he's a good player and want him to do well

Bit harsh on Sakamoto mate. Thought he looked good until he came off injured.
I love him , he's one of my favourite players but I thought he still looked tentative tonight . He wasn't alone in that don't get me wrong but it was good to see EMC play well so hopefully will allow Tats time to heal up fully

I'm pretty sure him being the exact opposite of tentative is what got him injured! Properly went in for a 50/50 and was unlucky to come out with an injury as bad as it is.

I didn't mean the tackle as he has always punched above his size , was more on his movement and areas he was trying to receive the ball

Really hope people will stop questioning Rudoni after that.

He’s already an important player for us and will continue to get better and better, he’s got a big role to play in the future success of our club.
There were times tonight he reminded me of McAllister with his ability to find time and space to receive the ball .
Anyone who has ever played to a decent level knows that is something that is incredibly hard to teach

Also, EMC needs to do more.

Surprised at the amount of positive comments, I thought he wasn’t great positionally, his decision making was poor and on the ball he was wasteful.

However, it’s glaringly obvious it’s a confidence thing (isn’t it always) and he obviously has talent, as per his stats last year. He’s going to get a little run in the team and I think that’ll really help him.

Oncre it clicks he’ll come good. He certainly has the physical attributes to be effective at this level which is a great start.

He was better today but I still don’t see it with him in terms of end product.

you could hear Wilson organising well tonight.
great team performance, BTA work rate and quality outstanding, same for Hadji and Sheaf just tackles and calms it all down

Looked like Dolan stamped on Saka intentionally to me, hopefully it's not as bad as it looked but I reckon he'll be out for a while.
Yeah agree, although not as bad as I first thought when I saw Eccles reaction. I assume now he just doesn't like blood but the reaction made me think it was a potential career ending injury.

Unless he thought a bone was poking out or something?

Watched quite a bit of EMC at Peterborough from January onwards and liked what I saw from him.
Hopefully once he gets one goal he should feel more comfortable at this level.

One slight criticism of him I've noticed is he can ball watch a bit and lets runners go past him. Probably got away with it more on MVE's side tonight.

I’m not sure on EMC a bit like he doesn’t feel he belongs at this level. Maybe the price tag is playing on his money mind as well.

He drifts far too much into the middle from the right.

Completely second all of those comments. It was his best showing so far (not hard). I could finally see what he offers to the team. But generally played far too narrow, limited our width on the right and decision making at both ends was bad.

There was a moment tonight where Wilson had the ball and they all trotted to the left hand side including EMC, why not try something radical and leave him one on one with the full back on the right and then send it that way and see what happens.

All the back 4 had ok game's but there are still lapses of concentration just blips but it's both fascinating and horrible to watch all were guilty, it's something I'd love to get to the bottom of!

It was also fascinating that when he wanted the best team out there he made decision to revert to sakamoto who with his bravery took another whaking and the best LB we have and the best new striker we have and kept everyone out there as long as he could none of substitutions on 60 minutes although I was getting a bit peeved in those latter moments that he wasn't using the substitutions to run the clock down,, guess that's why they call him squeaky!
