Being brought during the time they were our biggest local rivals I always really wanted to beat them. The '98 cup game and the Boateng/Aloisi double act are two of my favourite games.
But even so I preferred them winning last night. And I'd rather them do well than the usual English lot.
But if we do ever go up I hope we hammer them and they get relegated.

Can’t ever forgive Man United for the Cup Semi and their fans and players (with the exception of Harry Maguire) lording it when they got away with the robbery of the century
I’d rather sit round and discuss football with a Villa fan than some Cockney Manc any day of the week

I don't mind Villa too much. Have seversl cousins in Cov who are lifelong STH there. Great stadium, good team, superb manager.
I always get them mixed up with Burnely, West Ham and Scunthorpe and the Prince William, David Cameron, Tom Hanks and Nigel Kennedy is just cringe.
Their dopey fans have always thought they are the MUFC of the Midlands but they have had few ups and mainly downs and have been shite since the mid 90s. That 1-4 in '99 was the best league fixture away day .
The problem is this CL will make them more powerful, more arrogant so I can't wish them too much well.
Hope Emery fcuks off to Man Utd, and that post knickers Watkins goes with him.

i think you'd have died of grief at Villa Park when they were singing "some day, we'll meet again...." at us (i can't understand City fans saying they'll "never forgive" Villa fans for singing that at us either..... as if we wouldn't rip the piss if we sent them down....)

We won that FA Cup semi final fair and square and had it robbed from us, I’ll never get the chance to see us in an FA Cup final again I imagine and even tho there is a 95% chance we’d have got panned by City, you still never know - Fuck Man United

That's what hurts the most. The chances of it ever happening again within the next 10/20 years is next to none, it was a real one off chance to get to a major final. I know 87, but the game has completely changed where you have hardly any chance against the "top" teams.
Least Wigan and Lesta had their day though
