Millwall 0 Coventry 3

Coventry 1 Southampton 1

Leeds 1 Coventry 1

Sunderland 0 Coventry 3

Middlesbrough 1 Coventry 3

Coventry 3 Leicester 1

Sheff Wed 1 Coventry 2

Stoke 0 Coventry 1

Watford 1 Coventry 2

Wolves 2 Coventry 3

Huddersfield 1 Coventry 2

Coventry 2 Leeds 1

Coventry 3 Man Utd 3

Yes, the form dropped off a cliff after Wembley but with essentially the same players at our disposal we now look incapable of getting anywhere close to those results.

The performances are unrecognisable.

The problem has to be something that’s happening or more likely not happening on the coaching side.

This set of players have played 65ish games for the club now. The longer this goes on the 13 games you've listed start to look like more and more of a purple patch than an actual indicator of how good this squad is.

Some purple patch though. That's a great set of results. You don't pull off that many flukes in a short space of time.
Admittedly the Sunderland and Huddersfield results aren't that eye catching but that's still 11 very good results.

How many of those games did O Hare play in?

I was saying this very thing coming out of the ground. The lad asked about O’hare and I was like “I’m sure he wasn’t available for a lot of games last year and we still did well”.
Im right aren’t I? (He asks hopefully).

I’d argue that just coincides with COH playing for his free transfer combined with teams taking time to counteract the new shape.

He's been missed more than most including myself, imagined.
Everything good went through him and his ability to glue things together especially with the wide men is something we badly need.

His return was a big part of that run.

It's crazy how little some rated him here. He was our best player for large parts of last season until Robins started dropping him.

His form fell away sharply after the transfer window closed.

I like Rudi but see him more as a CM than AM - the gap there for me is telling a lot of the time

He hides in a hole when the going gets tough

I don’t agree, nor disagree really I just don’t blame him personally. I think he’s just not an out and out AM, he’s nowhere near as explosive as what we’ve had so the gap becomes more apparent.

He suits the “passive” type of play we seem to love which delivers nothing when the going gets tough.

Goes missing for chunks. Often exposes our defence by not tracking back quick enough. Has skills but doesn't have in him to take charge of a game or even an extended part of it.

To be honest the Leeds 1:1 wasn't a great performance we played embarrassingly defensive.
1:1 at home to Southampton is that spectacular?
A win at relegation Huddersfield?
Not knocking the run but it wasn't THAT spectacular football.
Even the Man U game we were awful first half.

The Leeds performance was the sort of display we pat other teams on the back for when they do it to us.

Last season we gained 7/18 points against the eventual promoted clubs. Frankly playing as we are if we got one I'd be surprised

It's coming it just needs ramming home, Rudoni is getting there, very impressive yesterday I thought but the owner's preferred choice of who he's offering top wages to is suspect,no go Rudi please and Bring Bassette with you as long as it's the Spurs performance!

Would love him to prove me wrong but I just don't see what Rudoni brings to the table. When our backs are against the wall he goes completely missing. Would be a great player to have in the side if we were tearing teams apart but unfortunately that's just not happening at the moment.
Just my opinion chaps.

I thought similar a few games back. He was decent yesterday and scored too. If others did their job as well as he did yesterday, this wouldn't have even got an airing.

It was a huge part of it, he scored 7 or 8 goals and got 5 assists in those games. His enthusiasm is infectious.

It's so painful to watch us attacking this season without Cal and Tats. Our biggest weapon last season was the triangle they created with Milan, all 3 having the ability and pace to beat there man. Rudi doesn't get close enough to Milan to start the chain off, also doesn't help that EMC spends half the game as centre forward.

He was busy and a driving force in the first spraying 10-15 yard passes about, not so sure about the second as couldn't really see a lot, goal was rediculous really, almost lucky but the technique seemed beat the goalie, and the reluctance of others to take a shot when presented is pathetic and needs to stop!
Are you reading coaches, FFS!

We haven't got McFadzean. Our goals conceded is rubbish. McFadzean was a far greater influence on the team as a whole then almost anyone else. We're being torn apart by any team with pace and that showed clearly in Sheffield Wednesday's winner..

We rotate too much - no stability and no cohesion which is needed if trying to play out from the back.

Wilson is a long ball merchant.

Which worked splendidly on Tuesday night, and he remained on when injured on Saturday which was bizarre in the circumstances but a different set defender's coped pretty easily with anything aerial, however whoever went down in the box and the aftermath showed the weakness or biased nature of the referee, and we just took it, come on Warnock, one last outing!!

For me it's the loss of the criminally underrated O'Hare
+
The loss of all the key experience in the playing and non-playing staff (Kelly, Fadz, Godden, O'Hare, Viveash etc.)

We had a real identity and standards/resilience expected within the squad, and that has seemingly gone now. I actually think we should have kept Kelly for his role in the squad considering the other changes we knew were going to come.

Still have complete faith in Robins to rebuild it but it's a big job...
