Hussey and Malaga (11 Viewers)

Robins has said he wants to move them on.

He praised Hussey said he has done nothing wrong and has worked his socks off.

He had a go at Malaga for not extending his loan at Nuneaton.

He wants them and others gone to free up wages.

He can't sign anyone unless wages are freed up.

Cracking insight there. Where do you get this insider info?

Shame about Hussey. Good player. Not too fussed about Malaga, but he seemed OK the times I saw him play.

I feel a bit sorry for Malaga, I don't think he did too much wrong but got shipped over to another country and then a couple of months later told he isn't actually wanted now?

Good player or great player, Torch? :D

Whether anyone rates him or not, it just hasn't worked out for Chris Hussey unfortuantely.

You would have to say that Malaga looks like he was a bad signing.

I see no reason for either of them to leave. Hussey is a hard worker and is bloody talented. His crossing ability and his skill in the ball is what we need. Blair Adams is only here on loan. What are we gonna do when he leaves? Hussey needs to stay. Malaga was decent in his first few games and was consistent. Woody and Edje are doing well and are the best 2 centre-backs, but Malaga is a decent Player. He's a damns right better than Brown and Cameron. Personally, i think thats is stupid when good players like Hussey and Malaga aren't being given a chance, but he's promised Roy O'Donnovan another chance and he's starting MSheffery every game when he's in the worst form of his life

Agreed, can't be easy for him.

Hopes he makes a decent go of it over here wherever he ends up.

Sorry it is in the CET.

I also feel sorry for Malaga. He comes over clearly beds a bit of time to settle and games under his belt.
He had a good game against one of the best in our league.
New manager he is transfer listed and shipped off to non league and critised for wanting to break back into the team.

However if MR needs to free up wages to sign anyone, centre backs we are flush in. So I can see why he is doing it.

And ruthless is what we need.

Got the feeling with AT that it felt more like the players were good drinking buddies.

It's important for players like them to leave so we can attempt to sign McGoldrick or a similarly talented Striker.

I really can't understand why people think hussey is any good. He is a left back who can't defend yeah he might of been ok at going forward but since he signed the only manager to play him was one who didn't have a clue about tactics.

Hussey is shite. Don't feel sorry for either. They're picking up a tidy wage for doing nothing. Malaga refusing a further period on loan is a joke, he'd be no loss.

Wrong there, Coleman didn't play him either.

Mind you he did sign him.

Where doe these ideas about AT's drinking come from? Viable sources, or just hearsay and conjecture based on his post match interviews?

I'm another who's not Hussey's biggest fan. Come January he'll be 24 and will have been here 3 years - no longer can he be considered 'one for the future'. I don't think he's realised his potential yet, but he hasn't shown anywhere near the sort of improvement I'd have expected in 3 seasons, both defensively and going forward.

How can you keep saying Hussey is so good? 2 out of 10 of his crosses are good. How is he a hard worker? He's always out of position and when we try to switch play he's hardly ever there to receive it. Adams loan we will most likely extend he wants to stay. Hussey is wasting money. Malaga can't speak English so whats the point in having him? He was also poor against Bury and there is no way he is better than Cameron. Sheffers has been playing well he runs after everything and that's the kind of commitment we need.

Also Hussey is a left back who can't defend whats the point in having him?

Does a player who runs after everything really make them a good player? If so, sign me up as I would run all day for 3k a week!

Sheff has been playing well the last 4-5 games, he might not be scoring but his excellent movement is making space for others, and he has been ever present on this good run.

Used to feel a little sorry for Hussey as I thought he was worth persevering with, however since Adams has come in he has shown up Hussey as he can defend and get forward, in fact I would say he is light years ahead of Hussey, so for me Hussey can employment elsewhere.

He's just a Pussy................ Never manned up ,I can only remember one run of games where he seemed to pull up a few trees ,after the defeat up at Barnsey where he came in and put in Extra training ,seemed to go on a decent run for about 6-8 games from there ,but unless i'm suffering from selective memory thats all I can remember,Always backed him while wearing the Sky Blue though.

Not the player we hoped he would be.

Mind I think we were all hoping for Gael Clichy weren't we?

Robins sounded very annoyed about Malaga, saying it separates those who want to play football and those who are just here to pick up the wages

He was quite complimentary about Hussey though

And I agree with those who say they feel sorry for Malaga, however no room for sympathy here. If Robins thinks he isn't good enough then get rid, personally I thought Malaga did ok when he played but Robins knows what he wants
