If it’s true that the players are finding it confusing with the number of coaches giving information then that is down to Robins.

The training ground, changing room, on field instructions is his area of control. He can simplify it if he chooses too.

I don’t think the issue is the number of coaches we have, by modern standards we are very normal, so it may be the way they are being managed IF and I IF it is actually an issue.

I don't buy into this theory at all. The coaches all work on different things. Boateng or Delaney aren't going to be saying things that contradict how we are meant to play.

Why are they looking high energy and well drilled against Blackburn, let's say, and then lost, frustrated, and unorganised against Wednesday? The theory about players not being bothered has been thrown around, but changing their attitude from one week to another doesn't make any sense.

Nothing wrong with the amount of coaches but will argue the lack of structure does hurt us.

Also would argue there not being used right. After all we’ve got the goalie coach apparently in charge of defence instead of the ex premiership defender.

Feel the best way to solve this would be for George or Mark to be appointed Assistant and allow the other three to be first team coaches.

They're downing tools selectively, which was was highlighted by another poster further up. You can argue about tactics and coaches all you want, and I am sure they are having an impact, but look at the players. It's selective. Eccles for example, is still fighting and doing everything. If he can do it, why can't some of the others?

Eccles is probably getting the benefit of the doubt because he's homegrown and has been here for years vs the new signings.

If they’re getting mixed messages from the coaches then surely Robins as head coach gets the rest of the staff in a room and explains exactly what he wants to see.

I do think the change in coaching structure is having an impact but is being overblown, especially given it’s a controllable.

Every manager is different. Some want to do everything, some want a shitload of coaches each focusing on different things

Increasing the number of coaches is more 'modern' and then the manager becomes a 'Head Coach', but you need the right manager/head coach for this to work (personality, way or working etc...)

Sadly I don't think this works with Mark Robins, so either he has to go or some of the coaches have to go

Bias? It is pretty simple. The players are not giving 100% all of the time, and are not applying themselves to the cause. This issue is affecting certain players worse than others. Players like Eccles don't seemingly care how many coaches there are, or what milk the tea lady is using at half time. Other players seem to be allergic to getting stuck in and doing what it takes to get a result.

There might be an issue with the coaching set up, the tactics, the substitutions etc - these are all valid. They do not however, trump one of the most basic components of winning a football game - being prepared to die for three points and giving everything when you are on the pitch.

Just look at the body language and lack of application at key moments. If you think lack of application isn't a problem then I really can't help you.

You don't just foist a,new coaching set up on someone who's used to working in a different way.
It should have been more gradual, and certainly should not have had the assistant managers position removed from the set up.

I find that very bizarre given that a lot of these clubs who have moved to a more modern coaching structure still have an assistant manager yest all of a sudden we don't.

Not sure Sheaf is ready for the number of minutes he put in during the last week and Eccles looked like he was running in treacle at times (2nd goal?). Rudoni disappeared second half and Torp and Andrews had another afternoon on the bench. Why he didn't give Kai some minutes when we were 3 up against Blackburn is beyond me.

The only counter argument you'll hear is 'he gets a pass because he's homegrown' which is bollocks.
A glance at the shit he gets on social media will tell you that.

Think it would be between him and MVE who hasn't been above criticism himself but theyve both been far better than their team mates.
