My favourite video on YouTube is Bruce Springsteen's "Ghost of Tom Joad". Tom Morello from 'Rage against the Machine' joins him on stage and gives the most amazing guitar riff! Please give this a watch! It'll blow you away! (Tom Morello at 6:50)

I caught some bits of theirs in a BBC doc. Which album's a good place to start? Up for a listen.
I would say start with the brilliant Virgin trio of 81/82:

Alles Ist Gut
Gold Und Liebe
Fur Immer

Then maybe explore the Mute stuff like Die Kleinen Und Die Bosen.

They did an album in the mid 80s but I didn't buy it at the time.

Was just having a convo with the family and for some reason was suggesting that Bruno Mars and Gaga's current hit was similar or written by the same person as this, nothing like really but worth a listen again anyway!

I've listened to this loads since you mentioned it. Nice one! Led me to blasting Suicide loads as well.
Pleased to hear! It's a great album. All those Virgin albums are good.

I love Suicide too. Was playing this earlier as it happens.

Another of my favourite bands. Gangway from Denmark. Great tunes and witty lyrics.

McCarthy were (and still are) a huge favourite. Loved them as they were political but with great tunes.

We Are All Bourgeois Now

Currently listening to the rain bouncing off the roof of my caravan in the New Forest.
Mine house is lovely and silent all round since I had the guttering replaced and a downpipe installed and the new cavity tray on the porch that meets that gutter is such a blessing!

How old was that? 😂
80yrs old and playing Ronnie Scott's 14yrs he started off and writing by 16, Working as a resident player at stax record's, what a life!!
Yes Wingy, a true legend of music is Mr. Jones.
Never a day goes by that I don't feel fortunate to have spent my formative years listening to Motown, Stax and a little later Philly International.
Used to frequent Wigan Casino in its early days too, and what a scene that was.

revisiting the axeman!

I'm a huge BN fan. BBD were a bit before my time, but caught up with their output in the 80s. I have to admit I'm more of a BN solo aficionado.
