Hussey and Malaga (13 Viewers)

Iv said on here a few times it literally annoys me that hussey gets a wage for playing football. He is talentless, never played a forward pass and had less bottle than any player ive seen. He would be terrified playing on the side of our fans in away games. Adams has shown how a half decent attacking full back can balance the whole team up.

Wages should come from

ROD
Bell
Thomas
Elliot
Brown
Ball

Malaga and hussey should be on the bench.

If wood is on s massive wage if it meant keeping DMC
I would let wood go to weds for a nominal fee.

Use Cameron, Willis and Malaga.

I like wood but if it meant we could get DMC I think it would be worth the trade.

The ultimate test of how good they are is who comes in for them. Hussey will struggle to get another league one club and Malaga will be hard to shift.

Why get rid of Thomas? He's the natural replacement if either Jennings or Bailey get injured or if Bailey doesn't sign?

“He started out wide in his career so he’s no stranger to that position and maybe that’s something for us to look at because he’s certainly got a good left foot. He’s got a bit of pace and the way he dropped his shoulder and took his goal was very good

That was MR. In mid Oct

We have strength in midfield an abundance of talent now. Bailey has proven he can do it. Whereas Thomas is potential. If Thomas's wage or transfer fee can secure bailey moussa DMC or his replacement. Then we should do it as we are flush in midfield and achieved without Thomas

Well remember those days when we were fending off huge bids for Hussey back in June from loads of clubs.

Did he actually go to one of them do you know?

Yes he is playing for burnley, that is why we are having this conversation.

Shit should this discussion be in the city old boys section

No other player in our squad does what Bailey an Jennings do apart from Thomas. A lot of our success has been down to the job they do and the formation we're playing. I'd keep him, even if he is just potential. At least that's looking more long term.

How many times has Robins actually picked Hussey before or since the last 20 mins or so against York in the JPT?

Not centrally we don't we have Thomas and Jennings plus Barton who can't play the deep role, and Moussa who can do a job but is actually quite poor when he played centrally with bailey before Jennings came back.

He's not going to slate him publicly is he? Truth is he is very poor and will struggle to make much of a living in the game.

Malaga must go down as one of the most pointless signings in history

Malaga when he first signed someone posted a u tube highlights game of him playing against aek athens. It kept showing him making headers, winning tackles and making passes. The piece of video did not show goals and i did notice inbetween his action shots the scoreline changing and they lost something like 5-0.
Which i thought was quiet strange because he could have been responsible for conceding some goals.

Fleck can play central as well so midfielder who can play central be it attack or deeper baker, Barton, fleck, moussa, Jennings, bailey. Thomas is a nice to have at the moment.

In the same article he has slated another player publicly, MR is not scared to do that.

I really can't understand why people think hussey is any good. He is a left back who can't defend yeah he might of been ok at going forward but since he signed the only manager to play him was one who didn't have a clue about tactics.
is that the same manager that replaced him only for the replacement to do his shoulder after 2 games??

He has signed two Loan players rather than play him and clearly does not want. Apart from the JPT where he performed well in his cameo has MR ever played him

The point stu made is the same as mine. Those players you've just said can all play centrally but not in the roles that Bailey and Jennings do. The formation we play is important but you play any of the others and its likely that formation would be tinkered and messed around with.

Moussa played as a DM once and did well if my memory serves me right so he can cover that.

Sticking with two defensive midfielders. Thomas can play that role as well as attack yes see your point. Has moussa not successfully done both roles.

So quoting a glowing reference from Robins about the only 20 minutes he has picked him for probably a bit pointless then really?

Great, let's take a player that's doing really well on the left and put them in a position they may have played once or twice! Like I said, Thomas is looking more long term. I wouldn't get rid and I don't think robins will want to either.

Someone said they cant understand how he is paid to be a footballer. MR robins may not want him as his first choice but he is a man who does not bullshit and seems to understand why he is paid as a footballer, even if he is not his first choice.
I would like him as our back up left back as we don't have one. I would prefer others to go to free wages where we have strength in depth.

He can stay on the left he would just be back up cover,

Put it this way tomorrow you are told if Thomas goes you can sign bailey.

Unfortunately it is not just about who is spare but also who will other clubs snap up.

Which is why I mention Thomas and wood. I think other teams would want them and I think we have strength in those areas.

Do you think Thomas's wages are that much? I'm not even sure he'd fetch a decent fee at the moment. Wood I'd agree with a little but not Thomas.

I think you might be getting mixed up with the Edge. Malaga basically played his football in French B teams before coming here and the Edge had a spell in Greece. Was it this video you were thinking of?

No I don't think he would be a top earner but think someone would pick him up due to the hype and the whole Liverpool thing.

I don't think he is a great player Liverpool worked that out.

I think he is a ok player. He will be good in league one.
He won't set the world alight.

I think like you say his strength should be as a defensive midfielder. If he is coached and specialised into that, maybe his athleticism will make him very good in that role.

I just think bailey is still young he is already where we would like Thomas to get to. If letting Thomas go helped us get bailey for the rest of the season then so be it.

I feel if we don't go up this year then the shit will really hit the fan

Fleck can play CAM not CM/CDM same with baker. Barton is more of a CAM but can play CDM. Moussa isn't to good in CM but can play there. So really only jennings and bailey and thomas can play there as their natural position. Robins has also already said that he rates Thomas a couple months back.

Thomas will be on about 1-2k which is nothing. He is good cover at CDM as it is his natural position and can also play CAM if need be.
