I don't buy into Wright being unable to support defensively, he does. I think some of our issues recently have been more tactical rather that necessarily unwillingness to defend.

For the winner that never was in the semi final, it's worth remembering that he was involved in the move initially on the edge of his own penalty area.

I always get the impression Mark wants him to stay further up to act as a second striker and outlet if we win the ball.

Could be wrong though but always assumed that’s why O’Hare/Jack would come deep to cover to allow the midfielder to shift to defend.

Who else do you think we’ll get a return on?

I think the question isn’t whether he can rather than whether he should.

Keep having a long hard think who you mean when you refer to players with their first names!

Yeah anyone claiming he’s lazy or a luxury player doesn’t really have a clue at this point.

The only player you could realistically say is lazy, or at least appears lazy, is Simms. I'm a Simms fan, as everyone knows i was a big advocate of getting him in the team over Godden much quicker, but yeh fuck me he's off it atm... Last season i would have said its just his playing style but he looks way off it this season.

Must be shit being the central striker in a Robins team TBF.
A thankless task at times and you know i'm more in the camp of thinking this start is more down to Robins than the players, but its hard to stick up for Simms atm. When you earn that much money i do feel there is a certain expectation to at least look like you give a shit. When things aren't going your way you should be running harder, but in his case its more hardly running than running harder.

I do imagine he'll come good again but its a painful watch atm.

I am not sure if Simms is instructed not to run the channels so as to not overcrowd, so it's difficult to criticise for that.

What he is poor at is offering an outlet with his back to goal, pressing defenders and movement in the box at times.

Isn't that what a Centre Forward is supposed to do ?
