Saddle and others had suggested one or two heads had been turned in the summer and people assumed it was MVE, Wright etc ….. sounds like Sheaf was one of them based on his comments today. His tone is disappointing to be honest ….. the whole interview smacks of he’s disappointed to still be here but has to get on with it …..

So its not just the new boys is it.

I felt similar after his appearance at CTK with Rudoni.

Think he's probably given us his word that he'll stay for the year, but then he's off if we don't give up

I don't think he had an offer from a Premiership side other than Luton who were odds on to go down.

it's a shit interview, tbh. and by that i mean shit questions.
difficult to put a positive spin on it when the interviewer is determined to be that negative.

The one bit of ITK knowledge I will ever have is that Sheaf is actually disappointed with our start and was really determined to make a go of it this year. His head isn't (or wasn't before this poor run) elsewhere at all. His plans for next season are another conversation but I certainly don't think he's been phoning it in.

“I know that he thinks he should be playing in the Premier League”

I wish it worked like that!

After one game which he didn’t start he was talking and having photos taken in the corporate section and was asked when will he be fit and he said he was fit but wasn’t being considered to start.

He's not going to be on his own though is he, I wouldn't imagine anyone would want to stay as soon as a Premier team comes calling, unless we achieve promotion

You can’t credibly have a captain who’s giving off “ I want out of here “ vibes. What hope do you have of controlling the dressing room ….
You’re just making stuff up, he’s always been a pretty dour guy. He’s just reflecting the form we’re in, and the fact that much more of this will put an end to any hope of promotion.

Who can blame him

He's 100% gone in the summer.
Can't say I blame him, we've bought some real shite with the Gyokeres and Hamer money. Only Bassette looks like a real good signing.
It sounds like he knows we've gone backwards, and is pissed off that he's stuck here for another season.
On what evidence is Bassette any better a signing than Simms, MVE, Wright?

Even by your standards that's a great one.

Sheaf amongst others believe they should be playing at a higher level. Unfortunately like Sheaf we are yet to see a performance this season from them let alone consistency.

Simms was only ~£1m more and scored 19 goals last season. Nonsense.

Thomas Asante scored one less and is two years older and went for less than Simms did before add ons. He was his teams top scorer, Simms currently can’t get in the side.

we can’t go back in time and sell Simms, if he’s sold it’ll be on this years performances not a purple patch last season.
