I'm not sure Torp did much and when Bassette went off the game changed because the press went with him. At least Tavares with Wright and BTA could have hassled them.

I'm not sure anything worked, at best it would have been a draw.

We didn't have a shot on target until stoppage time.
Tavares is definitely not the answer Nick. There is zero leadership on that pitch. Nobody stepping forward, everyone hoping someone else does it for them.

I'd have put him up front and told both him and BTA to press their defenders who were having a break after Bassette went off.

With 10 minutes left we had nothing to lose.
And played what 442 ? Where does wright go

Thought Robins got the system right today. But was let down by Van Ewijk in particular - which is rare. All three of their centre halves you’d describe as bang average - but we desperately need some defensive nous of that ilk.

Your argument is to replace Robins but I don’t see you backing it up with any substance. He wasn’t tactically inept and he can’t magic a creative midfielder. We deserved (at least) a point but we didn’t get it because of a dodgy call and a great save.

There are issues, without a doubt. I just question they can be solved by sacking MR.

Putting him on is a sign of desperation but if you did it would be instead of Sakamoto who looks now that his 12 game spell was a fluke
Bit harsh. Sakamoto has been fit for, what, about 5 games since February? I think he always looks dangerous when he plays.
MVE definitely a better player when he’s ahead of him, too.

For another midfielder he did. If Tavares comes on what’s the shape? 4-2-4?
No because it would be 3 up front.

Last 10 minutes at 1-0 down trying to go for it.

More of a 4 3 3.

Again, players don't have to be replaced with players in the same position.

I only said tavares because they struggled with bassette pressing them and putting them under pressure. He could have at least done that.

The reactionary thread to a point lost down to a shite decision, I feel for Robins if I were him I’d walk with such a fickle fanbase grabbing the pitchforks at any opportunity

Yes or no question. Do you think the start to the season is acceptable?

Eccles and Sheaf the only midfielders?
