Which seasons did he struggle at this level, with squads that should have been doing much much better ? Please tell
The 14/15 season with Huddersfield?
I think they got promoted to the Premier the season after he was sacked.

When asked about dovin , Robins said " apparantly he's a good keeper "

If you think robins is identifying and signing these players , I've got some magic beans to sell you

He might be saying yes or no , but let's be honest most of the work is done by recruitment and that will still happen should Robins leave
Jesus. Managers don’t identify the players at this level at any club, but Robins has consistently said that he has the final say. I’m not sure why some fans find this concept difficult.

So when your recruitment come and show you the data and tell you these players are good enough , you say yes because why are these people going to put shit on your lap ?

Wake up mate , he never blew 45 million pound

If the recruitment hasn’t been up to scratch then the fault lies in this order
Austin ( who Robins chose )
Robins
King

yet some fans would have you believe that Robins is the victim and it’s somehow Kings fault.

Take your blinkers off.

No robins has made mistakes .. but to say he spunked 45 million is incorrect, that's factual

Well if he has the final say over which players, he kind of has.

He has a squad that we spent it all on, he has no idea what to do with it.

The players recruited are largely fine nick, but we are lacking certain things in certain areas ..

We chose to get 100 strikers and spend on keepers to bring Wilson back in.

People go on about our defence but we have spent millions on that too.

We were crying out for a decent centre mid but just brought 2 more strikers in.

Have you got a link to him saying that?
Asked whether the club are looking at any free agents, Robins said: “I don’t think it’s an option. Prior to the window shutting we had a conversation with Doug (King) and Dean (Austin) and that was then shut down. The window, for us, was closed and I have not had any conversations to the contrary since then in terms of free transfers or anything.

It's getting desperate to make out Robins is blameless and a victim.

The excuse to be "he's had no money to spend" to now "he didn't spend all the money".

jeez.. who is saying Robins is “blameless?”

saying that now isn’t the right time to sack him is not the same as “he’s blameless”

It’s not incorrect.

ALL managers are held accountable for the players that come in under their watch. Arsenal have spent £700m under Arteta, Man U £600m under Ten Haag.

Do you ever actually make any points of your own that make any sense? It's just "stop lying".

Read the thread you headcase. The desperation to blame everybody other than Robins.

That's just about free agents isn't it, rather than why we didn't sign in a central midfielder at all?

Nick laughs but Jose mourinho specifically moaned about not getting the players he wanted at United

I agree and managers carry the can if they can’t get a tune out of them. Fact.
Sure , but the managers are largely not spending the money are they , the don't negotiate and they don't pay , they get told who the club are looking at and I'd imagine robins says yes or no.

Why would robins not trust the people in these positions ?

I’m confused as to whom you blame then ?

I’m saying Robins should not be sacked. To your incredibly black & white way of thinking does that mean you think I’m saying he’s blameless?

Nobody is saying he's blameless but he's not solely responsible for the recruitment, especially the money part of it.

No, my point is that he's responsible for not having a clue what to do with a squad that we paid over £45m for.

He has no idea about his best 11, best system or best lineup.

Robins doesn't identify the players or agree the fees.

He appointed the head of recruitment, he has the final say on transfers ( his words, not mine ) , he coaches the team, he selects the team, he selects the formation, he decides the subs, etc etc

If you don’t think Robins is accountable then im
Lost for words.

Your favourite striker simms did his best robins out impression again this weekend .. maybe if he could start hitting a barn door his manager might not be struggling as much

I know they’re mates but where did you see he appointed Austin?

Obviously the buck stops with him, and again- I don’t see anyone saying it doesn’t.

But I don’t think the time has come to get rid of him. That does not mean I’m saying he’s “blameless”, which is just reaching & distorting yet again.

Wright missed a much easier chance to be fair.

The manager doesn't have to start Simms...

Haji wright did miss a great chance but scored a legitimate goal that was chalked.. simms time and time again let's his side down

He's not scored in almost 80% of his league matches
