And with that Simms chance.... (4 Viewers)

There we have it. There's no team here.

Just a squad of half decent players stuck together on long contracts.

Was always going to be a tough one to score defender and keeper had lots of time to shape up .
would have taken a great finish to score that .. and guess want

Don’t think even in red hot Simms form he’d have looked up and made that pass - never trusted it to happen

Angle was always going away, simple 45 degree ball earlier and we cut through them.

Tbf it's not just that, players are bickering with each other all over the pitch. We're a team of individuals and something needs to change fast. We were good for 15 mins and stopped.

We’re not seriously thinking that Simms has it in the locker to make that pass right!? He’d off fucked it half way over the other side of the pitch behind Bassette.

Simms passed the ball to their keeper a couple of minutes earlier - just a poor player with a lack of confidence

The depressing thing is Simms can’t make that pass. I was praying he’d amble along enough to get the shot off as he would just have cannoned it into their CH if he’d have passed.

Not even in the same universe in terms of chances, Bassette’s was a snap chance out of nowhere. Every striker on the planet goes for that and very little time to look up who’s available.

Simms had all the time in the world to play Bassette in and create an easier chance. Didn’t even look.
what makes you think Bassette scores anyway, hes missed easier ones than that would have been

And so did Bassette Saturday, even robins just pointed it out, they both made awful decisions,
Once again, not even close to the same decision.

Simms is also an established player now. I expect better from him than a 19 year old who was playing under 21 football last week. We won’t get out of this rut with players trying to fuck each other over in retaliation.

I was looking forward to this season mostly based on the Simms/Wright partnership. It feels like they have played a few minutes together this season.

You sure about that,

His touch was fucking dreadful, I was right in front of it, he only has to swing at it so much because he’s lost control of it onto his left foot

The ball dropped to him in a split second, and the keeper was on him. EVERY striker in the world is going for that.

Simms picked up the ball around the halfway line and ignored several teammates, it was another level of selfishness.
They’re both as bad as each other, neither can hit a barn door this season, and there’s plenty more players to dig out before simms

Far too much talk about Simms on here. We were sh!t for 60 minutes before he came on and in the 15 minutes he was on the pitch he had 2/3s of our shots on target. I'm not sure why the bit where he actually looked like he might do something is the focus here rather than the rest of the mediocrity.

Also not sure about this tactic of subbing off your top scorer when you need a goal.

Exactly, what about Eccles shot( when he got injured ) all he had to do was square it, unfortunately weve got alot of players making alot of wrong decisions,

Again I don't want to focus on individuals. Contrary to the match thread I thought Eccles did alright and hit some cracking balls into forward positions that BTA couldn't quite exploit.

But we were dominated in MF for a huge chunk of the game and MvE was horribly exposed/lacking support.

He didn't have to pass to Basette, play it inside to Tatsu who can then play it out to Basette.

Been a big fan of Simms but fuck me does he have some absolute rotters.

I don't have a problem with blinkered strikers, they're greedy by nature but I do have a problem with Simms ... He's just not very good. Bad signing and we're lumbered with him
