Simon Moore - ruined him
Ben Wilson - hasn't exactly improved him
Brad Collins - hadnt exactly improved him
Oliver Dovin - looks a scared wreck

4 keepers of a decent level, all end up bereft of confidence and talent

And the defence. Well. We all know how dog shit that is and he's responsible for that nowadays too

Bloks stealing a living and how he's never been put under review i don't know

Probably a decent coach and a good lad but has no real playing experience at a decent level.

Under Oggy, many of our keepers improved. Westwood, Murphy, RCC for a period…even Burge. He would’ve been able to pass on vital bits of his experience that Aled can’t.

Tbh, I think they’re a few around the first team that have no real playing experience. For me, when you’re in the slump we are in, that’s a worry.

The funniest shit with Lampard would be the loans to be honest. Got major connections with Chelsea and we wouldn’t use them 🤣.

On a deep dive with Lampard (I don’t want him btw), plays a 4-3-3 which most fans want and has developed a few U21 talents which would line up to the job here.

I thought you said significant issues in Moore’s private life were the cause of his poor form ??

Its far too early to judge Dovin what I would say is that it must be a nightmare to have an instruction to play to your defenders and yet when they have the ball they look like they have no clue what to do with it. They never look to pass through the press they simply pass to each other until either we lose it or go for a long ball up field.

This is just made up bollocks. Oggy got blamed for making keepers absolutely dreadful for years.

They were yes.

But they didn't last 2 years. You'd expect a coach to get the keeper back to their levels in that time easily no?

It depends on what those issues were, how well Moore dealt with them and frankly whether Robins had moved on and was less interested in Moore going forward.

To be fair I don't think he ruined Moore, he had some pretty awful stuff going on in his personal life that clearly affected him.

And you could say Wilson had his best ever season under Williams.

(edit - just saw the stuff about Moore mentioned above)

Simon Moore as you well know was ruined for personal reasons, nothing to do with his coaching

Ben Wilson has improved to be fair albeit from a low starting point

Collins?

Dovin is an inexperienced keeper, that's all

This is just bizarre really

I don't know if we were ever interested in Johansson but he put in a great performance last night for stoke and earned them a point. Seemed like he would have been a sensible signing.

(and no I'm not writing off Dovin)

You do have to wonder about him as none of the keepers under his tutelage have been good, and many ended up worse, albeit sometimes for other reasons.

But I think there are questions about the other coaches too. For example the ones promoted from the development side.

I understand they might want coaches with experience in development coaching as we're buying young prospects to sell on, but first team is more than that. It also requires results here and now.

And it's not like they've got a great track record of development anyway. Our development sides have been awful results wise the last few years, and how many of them have actually gone on to the first team? Players coming through now should have been taken on with us as a Championship side and that is the minimum standard they should be looking to reach. OK, some like Tyler, Moore and Batanwi have had big setbacks with injuries but I still fail to see what they have achieved at that level to warrant putting them in charge of the first team,

It really feels like the coaching reorganisation has been well and truly fucked up.

Oggy lol.

I’m sorry, club legend but him and Clive HAVE to go. They got Wright mixed up with Sheaf the other night. They love a jinx too! They’re just awful to listen to, I’m sorry.

Oggy was a great servant, let’s leave it there.

I agree though, Aled’s CV doesn’t look good…

He took Wilson from a lower league reserve keeper to Championship team of the season.
