Yep when I saw the line up I feared the worst . May have stumbled on a LWB solution today . Torp has to start. Defence is still shit.

Thought the defence was ok, especially against the giants Luton put out.

Silly challenge by Saka and then a crap breakdown in midfield cost us the two goals. Apart from that we dealt with the the threat well

You say defence is still shit? But both goals came from defence splitting passes into the box from their midfield. Probably the two best passes of the game.

I would need to see it again, and it may have already been said but I thought Sheaf was in part at fault for their second. He backed off Morris, and allowed him to take the pass from the goalkeeper unchallenged and then play the pass into the middle with ease.

The second goal particularly you’ve got Eccles, Latibeaudiere, Binks and Dovin not covering themselves in glory. Eccles gets drawn to the right hand side where Sakamoto and Sheaf were already, leaving an absolute chasm in the middle which meant no pressure on the pass. Lati sees this and rushes out but leaves a gaping hole behind him. Binks lets his man drift into that space and then Dovin should have been 5 yards further off his line to give him the chance to sweep up.

All 4 generally had good games but it’s prime example of the poor decision making that is costing us this season.

However well we did to turn that around, and seemingly in general a much better performance...

1 swallow doesn't make a summer

We did this v Oxford and Blackburn and never showed up for games after

A run of 3 wins or 4 or 5 unbeaten is a corner turned, not a last minute win v 10 men

Much better 100% but we aren't suddenly Barca

To turn that on its head, youve posted this sort of shite season upon season and have constantly been wrong.

It really is a tad myopic to be acting this way, after one win. In light of a very disconcerting start to the season, one that has had many fans concerned.

It was not clear, and still isn’t, if we have truly ‘turned a corner’ or not. Robins himself, post match, stated that this result has to be built upon, not seen as a stand-alone indication that a corner has been turned (paraphrased).

Any chance you could share him with the rest of us, please?
Hes dissapointed with
the start as we all are but he sees the effort the players are putting in, we’ve got the quality just a matter of finding what works, like he‘s said one step at a time, we‘ll be ok

If that's who it was I agree!

The result almost didnt matter today because the performance was so good. It was not like any other game we’ve played so far. Creating lots of opportunities and dominating the possession.
If we’d have lost 0-2 but played in the second half like we had the first, I’d still be positive because the results would eventually come.
The ball hitting the back of the net, and the team getting the 3 points they deserved made it alot better but sometimes the scoresheet or the stats dont tell the story. If you didnt get to see the game today you really missed out.

It feels like the season defining moment. I truly hope it turns out to be the case, but we also dont need to all collectively shit the bed if we lose the next game. We WILL lose more games this season, we WILL win more too.
The performances that come alongside the results really do matter and today showed that the players ,many on here have slated for the last few months, are plenty good enough to do well in this league.

No offence mate but like I said earlier spoke to robins after the game, there’s no pleasing some fans, if we were in the the play off spots that still wouldn’t be good enough, negative comments on social media don’t help, it does get to the players, stick with him, we’ll be fine, no problem between players and coaching staff, just getting used to a different way of doing things,

Spoke to robins after the game today, he’s not going anywhere, was never in doubt we’d turn it around, loves the club and the fans, few idiots put in their place today, he‘ll do for me,
When’s it my turn to speak to robins, I got so many tactic boards to show 🤣

Even when we were 2-0 down I was gutted at the scoreline, but pleased with the performance, you couldn't fault the effort and we were creating decent chances, that first half was a big improvement over some recent showings.

It would of been a travesty if we'd of got nothing from this game.
