Dissapointing but at least we still unbeaton. We must shape up at home too tho and fast.

Jpt looks tough now, they will have confidence edge

Big opportunity missed

A point was a good result at the end. Preston came out to play and deserved all three points but we could have nicked it at the end with Stephen Elliot's free header! Still, keeps the unbeaten run going with just 1 defeat in 12 games.

In MR we trust!

Conditions are a bit of a leveller, but it's still disappointing to drop more home points. Those looking over their shoulder will be happy with that result. They'll be hoping the rearranged fixture comes in fine footballing weather to play to their advantage too...but hey-ho. Nevermind, keep the faith chaps!!!!

I'll take that. Old City from a few weeks back would have bottled that. We're unbeaten in8 . That is nothing to turn your nose up at. MARCH ON TO STEVENAGE!!!

They came to press us quickly and high on the pitch and disrupt us. We let them - too many passengers today. Lucky to get a point.

Doncaster unexpected result allows us a draw like this... 4 pts from next two games and 2013 could be set up extremely well

Ricoh test 3 still failed tho lol

We were very lucky. Travesty if we scored at the end. Mcgoldrick never got in the game, Christie was really poor as was moussa. Barton should have been withdrawn far earlier. He was non existent in the second half.

BBC: "The result means the Sky Blues remain undefeated in their last eight matches in all competitions"

I'd take that. 3 points would have been a better Xmas present but given where we were when MR took over, an 8-game unbeaten run is good going.

That JPT game looks even tougher after today.

Just underlines where we need to go to be a serious contender for a challenge on the top slots. This squad is good enough if left alone to win more than it doesn't add two, just two decent players to this squad and we can seriously challenge. A partner for a retained McGoldrick plus one other would do it.

The first 11 is good enough the squad nowhere near good enough.

It has always been tough, apart from to the silly arses who think we have already won it!

Ill take a point! Good passing play for the majority of the first half, matching Preston if not better!

Second half though we changed our shape and it didnt help us at all! Should have stuck to our original game plan!

Poor ref display, countless hand balls and tugs missed!

Still unbeaten though so not all that bad

Good point and one won in my book..
Preston are a horrible side... antagonistic, nasty and aggressive.. not football.. more like bullyball.... glad we held out....they were the epitome of their managers persona.:slap:

You aren't going to play well every week and PNE are a well drilled side. Takes the points thrown away tally to 23 but today I'm not too fussed-chiefly because last week's result softens it this week.

Can someone clarify.. I wasn't at Doncaster last week... although the side today was the same.. did we set up the same at Donny...i.e Moose on the right and Barton playing in the centre alongside(just behind) Goaldie?

Preston were thugs and con men and took advantage of an ex premiership referee who is dropping down the leagues...anyone see the kidney punch on Mcgoldrick..:jerkit:'s

Baker was nearly wrestled to ground at the end. IMO it was a penalty but he stayed on his feet and got a shot in. I thought the Ref started off ok but then lost it as the game went on.

disapointed with that, we were in a strong position and should have held out for the win really, we didnt come out the second half, their goal was coming and wasnt suprised when it arrived, like so many times this season.

We move on, two away games,

Yep,Preston were all too keen on grabbing players and man handling them and its just not football is it

Yes we do move on and put it down as a lucky escape
