This has now got heavy backing. Amorin has held talks. Very likely he would bring Gyokores to the club with him in January transfer window ahead of Arsenal and others circulating. There was even talk Gyokeres to Man City if Haaland goes to Reakl Madrid.

Man Utd already have Hojlund in that slot, Arsenal have Havertz and Man C would probably be looking above Gyokeres if Haaland went. That said, Vik is clearly far too good to stay in the Portuguese league.

I think clubs like Man City and Arsenal are probably slightly apprehensive about signing him for the release clause as they're not fully convinced about him.

Can’t see him going there. No Champions League for this season and almost certainly for the next one too.

55 in 58 in all competitions for sporting 16 in 10 in the league this season. He is going for big money to a big club
There’s a huge gulf between the Portuguese league and the top European leagues. Him and his agent have played a blinder. I don’t think the top clubs will be convinced and Man Utd is a realistic destination.

Yep numbers in that poor league will convince desperate top clubs like United to take the risk.

I thought maybe Chelsea too but Jackson seems to have hit a bit of form

Saying that, there’s a huge gulf between Vik and the Portuguese league, so by that reasoning he belongs in a top European league. He’s certainly too good for the one he’s in.

He’s better than Man Utd, and it would be a career faux pas to go there. He’s better off staying on the continent, imo.

Liverpool signed Darwin after he'd scored 32 from 57 for Benfica.... Vik's record is far superior to that. I can't see top teams being put off.

Barcelona were linked yesterday too

It was his CL performances which shot him up the pecking order. The season he left scored against Barca, Bayern and Liverpool home and away. These games are much more of a barometer than 90% of Portugese opposition.

He's also got 2 in 3 in the champions league (although I will admit that the new format has made it weaker this year)

They bloody need him... Not convinced at all on Hojlund and Zirkzee genuinely looks like he has won a competition to play for Manchester United
