Eccles played very well. He always seems to up his game with Sheaf.

Wright a goal and assist too.

Back three defended superbly. Won everything in the box today. Binks so much better in a back three where he can step in.

All played pretty well, and important to note, for the whole game, not just once they were down to 10.

Binks however, was fantastic. Motm for me.

Thomas Binks Ecclss Wright all 8's.
The remainder 7's apart from BTA 5.
BTA ran around a lot but decision making was poor and gave the ball away too much.

Excellent win . Onwards and upwards .PUSB

EMC desperately unlucky not to score today - chalked off for a foul by Bassette apparently (I assumed it was for offside).

Bassette btw showed twice today why he had no right to complain about Simms not passing to him vs QPR. He had two good chances and fluffed them both. Compare his one on one with Eccles’. I absolutely knew Eccles would score and I was not surprised at all that Bassette didn’t beat the keeper.

Enjoyed the cameos by Saka and EMC. EMC is going to be a very big player for us - potential is very obvious. Also you can see that Bassette will be leading our line in 2-3 years - he reminds me of an early Vik. If we get this window right - we’re going to be looking upwards from here.

I'm surprised you've given Asante the same marks as Wright .
Can't fault him for effort but he lacks a bit of quality.

It was more a case of Wright doing that lackadaisical approach. I appreciate he scored and got an assist, but did the disinterested part as well. If he had put in a bit more effort I would have given him an 8. Thomas Asante did get into good positions on occasion, and was close to getting a goal, and offered good shithousery 😊

What a bizarre thing to say.

In which part did he look disinterested?

Yeah came on, made a chance for himself from nothing after getting elbowed in the face, and came close again later on. He’s a good player that we’ve only really seen glimpses of so far and people love trying to be like “seeeee he’s not that good, he missed a chance!”. No one is saying he’s the next Pele either, he’s just a promising young player and the calls for him to start games were not unreasonable at all.

Not sure its a criticism of his defending? More it's nice to have him freed up to see the other side of his game more.
BSB explain yourself please.
Not just BSB but there’s been lots of posts previously that he’s too weak and can’t defend
