Just wondered where teams stay when they play us if an overnighter or rest period is required?

Did the tour of the CBS Saturday with the kids learnt a few interesting things.

We have the pitch cut and measured to premier league measurements now

Bidwells in charge of the pre game music

The away dugouts, heat gets turned on the seats in summer, turned off in winter. Same with the away changing rooms which have been intentionally made smaller and shite

Pre game the lads sit in units in the changing room. Sheaf next to Eccles, Thomas next to Binks and Lats etc

Interesting.
Have often wondered what goes on behind the scenes.

We went on a tour of Anfield in May and they do the same. Heated seats for the home team, not for the away.

Away dressing room just has one double plug and no sound proofing with fans above them. Smaller showers. Benches where you can't lean back against the wall, you have to sit upright. Harsh lighting. Some brilliant psychological tricks.

Doing that at the end of November. I did it in the 70's as my auntie worked at Anfield. ..Im thinking things have changed a bit since the single bath.

Weren't we given the away dressing room when Wasps were still here as well? 😬

I remember from Robins first time in charge that he specifically requested the away dressing either furnished or painted brown so it feels oppressive, rather than our nice one.

Are you back on the "everything's cosy and they all like each other" team now ;)

There was a rumour we were being kicked out of our dressing room. Whoever was in charge at that point turned up at a Sky Blue Trust meeting that night and assured everyone that wasn't the case. The next day it was confirmed we were being kicked out of our dressing room.
Wasn't that just another shameful example of behaviour from that Rugby Union Football Club.

Still annoys me how whoever is announcing is trying to be their best mate all the time, same with away fans.

It's right to give them shit treatment to get the edge.

Reminded me of early days at the CBS where John Dalziel used to go to each stand and say 'let's hear you shout in the xxx stand'

Embarrassing

This is my area of expertise. Depending on the team, level and finances, teams will stay at one of a number of hotels - DoubleTree Hilton Cov (not the arena one), Ansty Hall, Village Coventry, Holiday Inn Cov M6 J2, Coombe Abbey would be the main ones.

It also depends where the visiting team is travelling from. They'll want to use a hotel on the way and not travel past the ground to stay in the hotel and then come back to the ground.

Earlier in the season the strikers must've been sat stranded on their own near the doorway then
