Atmosphere (33 Viewers)

We may be playing poor, especially at home but my word our atmosphere has completely died.

To go from the noise and vocal support from a year or two to that tonight is demoralising.

Even after we scored, there was nothing. No drive to push the players. The Derby fans got bored of taking the piss after a while.

We've gained up to 10,000 fans in 18 months and the noise levels and fallen off a cliff.

Was wank , as it has been for about 18 months

Atmosphere is powered by the energy of the players.

No energy on the pitch, no atmosphere in the stands

But it was proved 2 years ago that the support from the fans dragged the players over the line.

It's a poor excuse for me. It's a library up there.

As I’ve said on here before, you can’t keep blaming the fans for how crap we are.

Those players shouldn’t need “dragging over the line” to get a point at home against Derby County.

We've gained 10,000 day trippers.

We've been losing at home in League 2 with 6500 fans up there and there's been more effort from the fans.

I seem to remember in league 2 someone going on the pitch to tell the players that they’re a bunch of lazy twats.

It's not blaming the fans though but a bit of energy from the crowd clearly does help a little.

It was mental how quiet it was after the goal.

There's plenty of our fans who lapped it up years ago claiming we had the best atmosphere in the country.

That’s it. Let’s destroy one of the few positives of this season.

Much better that we go back to a hardcore of 10k, where we can be a league 1 club forever more watching utter shite, but we can all congratulate ourselves on being super fans

Would be nice to see effort on the pitch which would then pass over to the fans. Even if we were losing.

Which in the brief 10 minutes towards the end where there was effort the players responded

The only way it's destroyed is if they walk away from the club after a season.

It will be interesting to see the season ticket sales if we finish around 18th.

Will say, was surprised at the atmosphere I know it was shite but no real effort from fans to try and drag us up.

Also no mark robins chant which was a surprise

I get the feeling some on here want them to walk away

10 k day trippers ?. I remember the days when opposition fans singing you're grounds too big for you when we had crowds of 10 k. The " day trippers " spend a lot of money to match mostly shite this season.

Hardly something worth talking about is it?

We've been mostly sh*t since the semi final.

Not many signs we're gonna turn it around.

but Y, season ticket holders are daytrippers.

Derby fans were basically singing that tonight to be fair 🤣.

We might lose a couple thousand but I'd be hopeful of retaining most of the new fans

You'd hope so. People get into a routine. Going to home games for fans of most clubs is a habit. Hence why many other clubs retain big crowds regardless of league positions.

Yep.

People will blame the performances but there's no real excuses for it being that bad. It's gone from the best in the league to probably the worst.

Probably the worst? Have a word, that isn't even close to being true and you know that.

If was very flat tonight, but in those few moments where there was some intensity and aggression it immediately lifted. That's the big contrast with the Luton game where the crowd stayed with them because they fed off the energy and that worked both ways. There was no spark tonight, we had one attempt on goal all first half. There was nothing to feed off, zero.

We seem to think we’re unique as a group of fans, and I’m not sure if it’s arrogance or self loathing.

As a fanbase we’re identical to 90% of all other clubs.

We had a great atmosphere a few years ago because we went from being the most depressing club in the land to support, to being a club that suddenly had everything going right.

We’re now putting in lacklustre performances, and the fans are justifiably annoyed by this.

Pretty much every other fan base would react the same way
