Have always backed robins and always will, not getting too carried away after 1 result but we’re on the way, said from the start of the season we haven’t had a season start where there hasn’t been any issues, this season we’ve had palmer leaving last min ,viveash leaving in the summer, new coaching staff, new back room staff, sheaf injured, was always going to take time to settle down, which made all the calls for robins to be sacked very over the top,
Palmer leaving last minute 🤣

I always give credit where it's due and in the last 2 games they have made inroads into turning the corner from some pretty dire stuff. Nothing makes me happier than seeing good stuff from my beloved Skyblues win or lose. I thought we would get stuffed today and as always am beyond chuffed to be wrong. Never been about point scoring on the internet for me, largely because it didn't exist for the first 25 years of me supporting the club 😀

The ‘Robins In’ people had no problem speaking up when things were going badly, but the ‘Robins Out’ people (with a couple of exceptions) don’t make a peep when things are going well. Just negative angry people who don’t actually have much to say when there’s nothing to complain about I guess.
The fans that have stayed positive and behind Robins / team deserve a huge amount of credit for the 7 points from 9.

If the feeling from the negative fans on here seeped more ubiquitously into the stands then everything could’ve got quite toxic and we’d be in a worse place right now.

The last two results have been good, but going back to my previous post on this thread still need to see more.

The negativity from here wouldn't get into the stadium crowd, cos they never go to the games.

You can say that about all 92 clubs in the league.

Not all 92 clubs in the leagues have spent tens of millions of pounds on players and find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table.

Let's see how we get on in the run up to December.

yep, there’s always a get out. It was highly embarrassing to go after Robins in the way that some people did, and that’s all there is to be said really. Questioning him is one thing- and is fair- but some of the stuff that was going up on here was stupid.

Not huge on stats etc but I did find it interesting that 13 games played, 15 points is exactly the same as we had last year and we all felt like we may have made the play offs without the cup run, arguably a bigger squad this year to cope with the games, maybe not quite at the same level of star quality with the loss of 3 fantastic players during the last 2 years.
I'm glass half full right now, haven't seen a fantastic opposition yet and we haven't fired as well as we can, just need to stay injury and suspension free.

Found an interesting Twitter article on the new tactic by @mattytfccfc.

Amazing how robins has seemingly come up with a wonky 5-3-2 to get us working playing to our strengths.

The TLDR is that we defend in a 4-4-2 with binks acting as left back and Milan as RB to cover for Latis pace which allows Binks to also drive up the pitch. Which means in attack we can be fluid and drag people out of positions like what happened with Eccles goal since the left back thought he had to mark out wide to cover Milan when Eccles plays almost like a right wing sided midfielder.

Not my analysis so not posted from twitter as not fair but a really good read

Correct, the only question should ever be is he progressing the team/club in the right direction and that's by getting results on the pitch.

Still not convinced, however it has been great to pick up a couple of wins, I expect another win this evening. Doug chose to stick with Robins, that is his prerogative. If we are top 6 at the end of the season he will have made the right call.

If we play like that many more times before Xmas - especially at home - I wouldn't be shocked if he was gone. Don't think you keep fans onside for much longer picking lineups like that, leaving that lineup intact for that long, allowing gutless performances from senior players.

I agree changes should of been made before halftime, and waiting to after halftime cost us

We were fucking shit we spent over 10 million on Kitching, Asante and Mason Clarke and they are piss poor.

Our coaching staff clearly ain't good enough and tactically we are absolutely shocking.

It seems broken 11 v 10 what do you expect, but 11 v 11 against Derby County we looked absolutely shit.

Everything right now isn't working, I'm a Robins in man but fuck me he needs to pull his finger out his arse because our squad look terrible.

The recruitment has been embaressing and these silly idiots that sit behind robins what are there jobs because clearly we do not need them.

Not back to this all.over again. 🤦😂

It's like the whore's drawers on here.

We played poorly tonight, but lost to a gift of a goal and a heavy deflection.

Let's see how we do at Sunderland. I fancy our chances.

I’ve purposely tried to avoid getting back in to this, but to me - tonight - was fully on the players. Unlucky with the goals, yes, but that screamed league 1 match tonight. We need a Roy Keane type captain to come in and rip them all a new one.

My big issue with Robins at the moment is that he just seems to stumble into something that works and then plays it every game until we lose again. Bassette and Thomas-Asante worked against Spurs so we play it against Swansea and lose. Wright and Thomas-Asante with Thomas and Kitching at CB worked against Blackburn so we play it against Sheffield Wednesday and lose. 5atb with Rudoni at LWB worked against Luton and Middlesbrough so we play it against Derby and lose. It just feels like throwing darts at the board and hoping for the best.

Put the claws away ffs , can't do this shit after every defeat
Whilst I’m quick to agree, one defeat shouldn’t bring everyone out calling for the managers head, people were quick to make a mockery of anyone wanting Robins out after two wins.

Not necessarily yourself that I’ve seen, but if people are going to give it they’ve got to take it.

The mockery part would come irrespective of recent form tbh

Don't think a new manager will change much with the players we have but even MR may run out of support at the end of the season if we end up where we are now

Can you imagine the stick he’d get though if he changed a winning team and then we lost. All the same people would be shitting the bed about why did he tinker etc.

I’ve learned that 90% of football fans are emotionally unintelligent and can’t control their emotions so they have to blame it on someone to help them cope.

I still think he won’t be in charge at the start of next season and will leave by mutual consent over the summer.
If we're planning on spending again then I think that's wise. Give it to someone else.
