Right who's the next manager then? (146 Viewers)

Bloomfield has a few good months at a lower level - rest is mid-table results. Doesn't feel like that is good enough.

I know Stoke are a basket-case but Schumacher won League One with Plymouth (ahead of Ipswich) and got them looking good in this league - and he failed.

Seems like going for the flavour of the month.
I work with a Stoke fan , he isn't a fan of Schumacher

Sems like going for the flavour of the month.

Yeah, it would have that feel. Doesn't mean it won't work and be the right decision, but ideally you'd have someone come in with a couple of seasons of high performance under their belt. Maybe he's getting rave reviews from people who taught him, worked with him (FA etc.)? Guess we'll find out.

I don't really want the bloke from Wycombe, wouldn't work a fella who has spent his years playing in the lower divisions rightly or wrongly won't command the respect of multi million pounds worth of talent

Then again I didn't want Robins to go that much I am struggling to get myself excited about anybody

Don't think Lampard would be as disastrous as people are making out but I'd have still kept MR over him

I just want someone who plays attacking football

We have some posters on here who rubbished Kompany but that's exactly what I wanna see. Free flowing risk taking football.

Not really got any names. Carsley or potter would be good but can't see them dropping down

What gives you that impression?

I think he is a very intelligent man who knows football, tactics etc and therefore makes an excellent pundit. Doesn't make him a great manager...

More chance of me shagging Sydney Sweeney than potter coming here.

Surely even DK's not daft enough to think the Wycombe manager will be able to dictate to £5m players how they should play when they wouldn't do it for someone with Viveash' pedigree (allegedly)
Viveash’s pedigree was youth football and Cirencester Town

Because I don't think his track record is as bad as people are making out

Derby play-off final, Chelsea top 4 in his first season and Everton every manager there since David Moyes has been fighting against the tide from the off

You need an attacking midfielder for that, something Robins has not been afforded this season. I like Carsley and the fans would give him the time needed to get it right.

At Derby Chelsea loaned him 2 England internationals, you could argue he underperformed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up with a younger continental manager or even a well known continental manager - I think the club carries more weight than people give us credit for.
Really, the failed attempts at recruiting midfielder?

He’s not even flavour of the month. How many on here had heard of him before the link? I hadn’t

Viveash wasn’t manager
The point is that Viveash isn’t some legendary figure within the game - he only had a reputation to speak of with ex-Chelsea youth players, and we ended up signing most of them!

I think our current squad has ambitions of working with a different calibre of setup and I don’t think Robins could (or wanted to) offer that.

Think with Grealish, Mings, Abraham, McGinn in their ranks Villa had the better side in that Play-Off final
Tomori, Mount, Wilson, Cole are all just as good

He also was utter wank when Chelsea brought him loads of players

Well yes, Ashley Cole in his pomp obviosuly but not Ashley Cole who was only playing because Craig Forysth got sent off in the Semi Final

Chelsea lost Hazard and only brought in Kovacic in his first season and they were 4th
