Woke up this morning feeling fine,
I've got Doug King on my mind,
He sacked Robins like he wanted to do,
Something tells me next season I won't renewwwwww
You were mulling over this last night weren’t you? Surely it’s the performances on the pitch that determine whether you’ll renew? It’s been poor this season. Despite the 22k season ticket holders backing the club. King gave MR loads of matches to get over the bad results.

FWIW it surprised me that he’d been sacked. I certainly didn’t want it but understand why time had run out.

Nice to see the majority were happy enough to continue watching the absolute manure that has been served upon us this season.

Before going off on one with Doug King , why not see who the new man/woman is and how they get on. It might be the best thing to happen. Yes i am sad to see Mark go but end of last season and this season has been awful. Yes you can say behind the scenes has been a mess and yes he might of missed Adi but nobody knows the actual reason for this. It would be nice for Doug to explain these situations and what happened in the forum next week but i suppose there will clauses in pay offs etc to save this info going out.

I am willing to give Doug a chance on this he isn't that daft to realise what reaction he is getting today and its a brave move as it could backfire badly.

But end of the day we are all Sky Blue through and through and lets support the lads on the pitch.

Hopefully in a few years we can remember the good old days under Mark but in the Premier League with the new head coach 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

The second line is a bit long, don't you think?
That’s because you changed the placement of the original parenthesis and made it into quotation marks, in the next paragraph?

Why?

Last 9 months we’ve been bobbins
Some blame King, I blame Robins
At some point we had to draw the line
Pick the right new manager we’ll be fine

btw I would have given Robins longer but to suggest the decision is ridiculous is in itself ridiculous.

Not a single derby player would make our starting eleven and for 70 mins last night you would not have known …..

He could bring Pep in and I'd still think he's a c**t for the way this has gone down.

The way Viveash and Robins have been treated would be disgusting even if we were top of the league. The fact it’s simultaneously made us absolute garbage on the pitch is just the shit on top of the pile of shit.

What do you mean "how they have been treated"? have they been working against their will all that time?

Given the track record on appointments since King took charge I don't have a great deal of confidence he will get this right

Thats before you look at the list of favourites at the bookies

People get sacked on a daily basis for underperforming, what exactly is the problem?

When someone has given you seven of the best years of your organisation you don’t just put out a terse emotionless statement. But then you don’t sack them for a slow start to a season either.

Fucking The Apprentice level understanding of how the world works.

This is elite spot where players and managers earn a fortune to deliver results. When they stop producing managers get rid of players, owners get rid of managers.

It’s hard to argue that the team has performed consistently well for the last 9 months but naturally we all like Mark and many of us hoped he would turn it around.

Towards the end I was hoping more than believing he would, when you get to that point the end end of any managerial reign is close.

What else could they have said, the statement by all accounts was a glowing reference as to what MR has done over the past seven years.

Higher you go the more cut throat the business is, you only have to look at managers winning the champions league and then 6 months later getting sacked, rightly or wrongly it’s a results driven business. You can’t argue that the writing hasn’t been on the wall for MR with how we’ve been playing over the last 7 months.

Look at when Klopp, Ferguson, Wenger left their roles and compare. That’s the level Robins was, not your average nobody sacked after 18 months.

And this slow start rubbish. When does that stop being an excuse and start being a glaringly obvious issue that needs to be addressed.

I know you’ve got some kind of basic humanity gene missing so just take it that it’s a shitty way to treat long term staff.

How though?

Let's face it, Robins will come out with it much better off after being sacked than any normal person would.

Start a go fund me for an open top bus fair then if your’e so concerned MR might be feeling put out

How do you respectfully sack somebody? I'd say giving them a massive payoff along with it is a nice way to do it.

I mean, for starters, Doug could have made the announcement himself. He's not shy about putting himself front and centre, so why is he hiding behind Mark Hornby for the biggest decision he's made since taking over?

The level of tears about a club statement is honestly mind boggling.

Should Doug have taken out a full spread in the Evening telegraph and announced it himself over tannoy at the council house this morning ?

It’s a decent post this, the one thing I would say is that it’s the lads in Sky Blue who have got Robins the sack, with what looks to be the lack of a winning mentality. So I’m not over impressed with the lads in blue, I’m afraid.
