I remember why I gave this forum up for several years now. Crikey.

Yes but isn’t she just involved in nutrition, ensuring they do proper recovery, sports psychology etc? I very much doubt she’s making sure they get tortured after every loss and telling them to eat McDonalds breakfasts.

I was under the impression that she is there to give us the incremental kind of advantages we can get with the science behind nutrition, rest, psychology etc? I might be wrong, feel free to explain what she is actually doing as I don’t know! I know her job title could be misleading some.

I generally don’t think we’ve been bad enough to warrant too many people getting flak other than the players and potentially the recruitment team tbh.

No i think you're right, but again, these things haven't improved anything have they? We've gone backwards. This is the point I'm trying to make before I got unsolicited abuse for it 🤷‍♂️

Her background is psychology. She was put forwards for a splash in the Cov Telegraph and has been mentioned as deciding along with Robins on the staffing as well as working with the recruitment team on ensuring new signings have the right mentalities.

Sounds like a kool job. She must have ensured that all the signings have a soft underbelly and cry whilst watching the Notebook then?

Wasn't she said to be MR's equal in power? That doesn't sound like someone just telling the players to eat right and go to bed early.

No, I could be really nasty and make you cry if I wanted but I'm not that kinda bloke.

I was asking serious questions as to why you think the performance director shouldn't be held partly accountable for performances 'literally her job title' and you start with the insults and paranoia

So let's leave it there shall we, for the sake of everyone else on here, it's not Eastenders

Not that we’ve seen yet. But also, I don’t think they’ve really changed anything either way so I don’t think she deserves both barrels! In theory and also maybe in future, having someone doing that job for us could well give us that extra something.

Mind you, Latibeaudiere has a fantastic mentality but I bet he can’t do more than 3 keepy uppies in a row….

The only people responsible for not getting results on the pitch are the players, the coaching staff and recruitment team. Unfortunately in football managers have always taken the punishment, players get away with it a lot more.

She’s not been explicitly said to be that afaik, but as I say was the only new staff member put forward for the sort of interview normally only Viveash and Robins would do, and was the only one mentioned as being involved in staff and player recruitment.

MR has been our most successful Manager since Jimmy Hill and there are no more on that list in modern times.
We have been here before creating a tsunami of success then through stupid Owner decisions falling back to mediocrity. Refusing to give Jimmy Hill the contract he wanted and allowing George Curtis to move upstairs brought our brilliant futures to a halt.

Oh yes I remember those times, devastated when Jimmy hill was allowed to go, but life goes on, incomes Noel Cantwell and then we qualify for Europe and then he goes, then John and George arrive to give us the best day of our lives, winning the FA cup, then Mike Robins arrived for the second time gives us some fantastic days out at Wembley and now he has gone, but life goes on.

I look forward to the next chapter of this great club of ours. PUSB.

Likewise, my neighbour said she was great.
A speculation on my part but it looked like SISU finally got their act together when she sidelined Tim and took more direct control herself. Roughly coincided with the appointment of Robins so the difference was not appreciated and SISU's charge sheet was already very long. SISU trusted Robins and left him to it even if funding was minimal

Nothing other than Dougs had this in mind since the second Adi went in my view

I sound like a stuck record, but this is Dougs toy. No one else is allowed to tell him how he should play with it. There were some grubby fingerprints on it (Robins and Viveash) from the last people who owned the toy and he cant have that because he wants his new toy to be all shiny and only his, and if anyone offers advice or help on his toy or goes against how he should play with his toy then they are told to get fucked

He won't like the ego bashing he's getting at the moment put it that way. Couldn't wait to get himself on Talksport when it was going well. Hiding away like a little bitch now he's being asked by media outlets for comment now he's made this decision
This is interesting tbf

Are people just making up scenarios and job roles now?

I heard the chef wasn't putting enough protein in the dinners causing the performances to drop so it wasn't Robins fault.

Next home game could be toxic. The players are damned either way, don’t perform and the situation will only get worse, show up and play and you’ve sent the message you got our club legend the boot. I hope they are strapped in and ready for that. As for whoever comes in, hit the ground running and maintain it or it is going to be a very short tenure. Would also be surprised if Doug is at the next home game given the response.

Have also been made aware that some players are delighted to see the back of him, Kitching being one who’s messaged “thank god” when asked about it. Imagine there are plenty more.

This season may have stuttered, but Robins has managed 7 different, evolving squads in three leagues, with varying expectations and demands placed on him and his threadbare staff yet season on season always got a tune out of them. He’s a proven manager with success behind him, different formations, styles of play, ability levels within the squad, the list is endless. This is appalling that we have afforded him 14 games in a 46 game season, less than halfway into a 5 year plan to make the playoffs 3 times. The players want to take a long hard look at who the problem might be here.

Really, really angry and ultimately disappointed that our club has turned their back on him like this. He saved us when it all looked doomed and gave us all memories and moments to last a lifetime. A legend at our club doesn’t come close to describing the job he’s done in bringing our club back to us.

Living some of the year in a multi supporter, multi ethnic environment in Spain, the overwhelming response to sacking MR here has been astonishment.
People can’t quite believe that after two recent Wembley visits , beating the likes of Leicester and Leeds, Wolves ( and Man Utd )etc, we have come to this.
I worry we’ve gone from one bunch of hedge fund cunts to another, at least the latter has been better at galvanising the supporter base.

So your not entertaining for even a second that robins could have been at fault at all lol

Emotional lil fella ain't ya?

Not sure how many times I have to say this for the hard of reading but I'll try again.
I do apportion some blame to Robins and have criticised him for several issues.

But I also attribute a lot of blame To King for removing tools from Robins which he's used to great success, his assistant, exeperienced players and the loan market.

And the post you've quoted was tongue in cheek, where as your more of a tongue in Dougs arse cheeks type of fella ain't ya?

You gonna accuse me of being robins out like you did everyone else last week?

I feel like I have had a death in the family. Bereaved. A real sense of loss. I felt as though I knew him; sort of knew what he would do next, although often caught me out (see Leeds last season away).

Not quite grief, but a massive hole.

Hopefully the new manager , sorry head coach can make the players do their job slightly better

Doug king wants to be a modern owner yet doesn't seem to use modern ways of interpreting stats

I'm not fully against expected goals and stats but they only seem to pop up when a team is doing poorly.

Doug can't keep a manager just because we've got high expected points.
