Noise from the players is deafening (41 Viewers)

Politicians have a public duty to respond to the publi, and a vested interest in that at some point they will require votes from that public.

Private business owners, even of football clubs, have the right to remain silent. It may not help their cause but that’s a gamble they have to take.

When the going was good king was on Talksport, cwr and alike

when the going is bad he’s nowhere to be seen.

speaks volumes of his persona

proves the point exactly

she came in in January. Started to implement changes and since those changes it’s gone downhill
Not really. She came in - they stated winning,Dennis Lawrence goes we start losing.

the performance director looks at the overall fitness and psychology of the team.

when they talk about Performance they don’t mean how Haji Wright is playing, they talk about performance as to how the body is going. Are the players at their optimal levels

What do you think her role is? And to be honest the performance has fell off a cliff since Dennis Lawrence left…

Incidentally - there was another poster on here that states we were class between Jan 2024 and April 2024… she was appointed in Jan 2024.
To repeat myself

“”The performance director is the person inside a club or a federation in charge of overseeing the different performance departments of the club such as sports science, medical, nutrition, S&C or analytics, in order to ensure the players’ optimal fitness and performance on the game day, following the coaching philosophy and requirement of the Head Coach.”

As I said, performance has fallen off a cliff and she should go. Taking her iPads with her.”

I would imagine that it was never expected that her appointment would have an immediate impact on performance, it took 6 months.

Ok you really didn't understand that did you.

The PD gives the players the best chance from a sports science view. The football operations department i.e the manager/head coach then sets them up to play the game. She is not responsible for on field performance

So you should fuck off and learn what something is before talking

Perhaps you could help me? What precisely is meant by ensuring optimal performance on the game day?

Do you think the players have appeared to be performing optimally on a game day?

If you can’t help then fuck off yourself.

She’s the one looking at what they’re eating to make sure on game time they’re not lethargic.

she’s the one who’s looking at played vitals to make sure we can reduce injuries and that the players go into to the game 100% fit.

she doesn’t determine whether Rudoni thinks fuck it - I’ll back pass to The goalkeeper

People just want someone else to blame. Tactically Robins got things wrong. It’s not the PD who was saying “fuck it play Rudoni at left back” or “Sakamoto is definitely a no10”

ultimately the players should get the brunt - but you don’t fuck off 25 people.
What you have said suggests sacking Robins was exactly the right thing to do.

When someone comes in, it takes months for that person to implement changes.

We didn’t offer Lawerence a new contract, that’s why he left. whose decision was that? Certainly not robins

she’s been in the job for 11 months and in those 11 months this side has gone backwards.

coincidence?

It’s weird, there seems to be a consensus that’s the timeline for form dropping yet every chooses causation which doesn’t fit the timeline, main one AV and the PD.

Well, they have hardly looked super awake and “on it” in most games this season, have they?

It's mad, I think he should of been given to at least Xmas to turn it around but to think the PD is responsible for tactics, team selection and on field performance is mad.

It maybe confused as we don't have a SD/DOF as the football operations team i.e. the head coach etc would fall under them and not the PD which would make it clearer what the PDs remit is

In what game did they look close to injury or lacked fitness?

I was under the impression that was Dean Austin’s job

Dennis Lawrence left because he got a better job offer?

We’d actually been going backwards since we lost the play off final… we’ve probably had a 3 month spell between them and now where we’ve played well.

PD not responsible for tactics and team selection but has responsibility to ensure optimal performance on the game day.

We don’t know what impact that role has had on day to day training or if there has been an undermining of the manager’s position.

It's completely normal practice for players to be told not to post anything on social media during a time like this or risk a fine.

What I would have liked to see however is a player have the bollocks to stand up and say fuck it, I will take the fine to do what's morally right. But, that's where we are in this day and age.
It's not morally right though is it? It's a subjective view. A player commenting on it dismissal of his boss would have to accept some culpability and that is unlikely to happen.

The effectively head of sport science is not going to be undermining the managers position.

she may have A say in what players would be fully fit to play though. She’d have been behind the data that showed Callum O’Hare needing a rest after the United game

no he didn’t. He left because he wasn’t offered a new contract

as for the form. it’s not been consistent granted but it certainly gone downhill since wolves away. poor form and since all the changes came into play

like I said coincidence?

and after that game, ohare was the never the same player

data driven decision making is bullshit in a football world. it’s all bullshit. Data can be read and manipulated in many ways

Lawrence was offered a job in the US and took it, his choice?
