As it’s clear there’s a lot of people who are interested in Lampard, and there’s rumours he’s already signed.

nick close if you think the poll is pointless

In the meh column.

Can definitely understand it on paper. Tactics look to suit the lads and has been a great developer of young talent.

Did alright at Derby and First year at Chelsea. Also think this is the first manager for us to manage in the champions league.

But it ain’t played on paper. Least it’ll be interesting.

People completely crap on the good work he did for Chelsea in his 1st stint. He isn't a bad manager. He's just had his jobs at the times nobody else would take them. Not once has he had what anyone could consider as a normal season. There is a smart manager in there:

- Top 4 against the odds with the weakest Abramovich era squad.

- Tapped the academy properly where other big name managers had failed for years. Basically adding billions in future value to Chelsea. This is also a big part of why the new owners bought Chelsea and saved the club after the Putin invasion sanctions. It could be very different had the academy not been realised properly before then.

- 2nd season had a 17 game unbeaten run until the December where they were the only club to not be granted a postponement break for a Covid outbreak. So while everyone else had rest periods Chelsea had to push on. A couple of players experienced long Covid. Injuries also picked up enough to limit squad rotation. Fatigue inevitably rocketed with 3 away games over the Christmas period with the most congested fixtures in football history due to lockdowns.

- It was the squad Lampard built that proved capable of winning the CL in the end.

Everton were broken before Lampard went in. Rafa Benitez said that he couldn't believe just how bad off they were financially. Thats why Lampard was left with Neil Maupay up front and they sold Gordon in January with no replacement. Dyche has had the same troubles. They can defend but the head of recruitment has left that club with no sting up front so they can't win.

Then Lampard came into Chelsea again and because again nobody wanted the job at that point. It was an impossible job with the hardest run of fixtures in the PL plus 2 Real games. They also had no morale left, low fitness, no cohesion and a slew of injuries in key areas. To say Lampard failed when his job was more to consult on how to get the club back on track is just incredibly ignorant.

Absolutely against.

If it is him, it stinks of Doug making an ego-driven decision rather than one where the club have actually cast a wide net and tried to find the best man possible.

Lampard underperformed at Derby and Everton and Chelsea went to shit in his last season there.
It stinks of Lampard being the only name available that King recognises

Didn't dyche get a tune out of players lampard simply couldn't at Everton?

His second spell at chelsea was diabolical
Very different kind of manager. Lampard went in and tried to play football 'the modern way' whereas Dyche was much more experienced and pragmatic. Not being as good as Dyche is not fatal for me. I guess -meh. But this could go horribly wrong for all parties.

don't really want him but you can't really could those 11 games, they were a basket case that had long fallen off a cliff that season

Mate last season we scored the second most amount of goals In a season for almost 50 years

Attacking isn't an issue
I get that but like I said before we didn't do it the way I would want. I didn't see a brand of football I have to be honest.

I'm willing to admit the stats don't back me up on this and maybe I'm talking crap but I don't remember thinking this is the sky blue way most games. We scored in moments but I never remember seeing dominant performances

And this year we have been way too negative and cautious. Like nick jokes we never seem to go all out to come back in a game

Despite what some people are saying..

We don’t have to be okay with the sacking of Robins.

We don’t have to agree with the new appointment.

But we do need to get behind whoever the new head coach is for the sake of the team.

As fuckingdumb the sacking of Robins was, we have no choice but to wish him well and move on.

Unfortunately there might be a period where the support isn't as supportive as some would like .. I've not seen the fans this angry before

Mark robins created the sky blue way ? Otherwise when else did you see it ?
I'm on about style of play.

Robins had us efficient and eradicated the pussy loser mentality we had. I'm just saying league 1 is the last time I remember us having a real brand of football

Gyok and hamer magic moments helped propel us to playoff final. That's not a slight on robins

None of this is putting robins down. I'm just saying I don't remember seeing us carve teams apart with fluid passing and movement much
