If everyone on here left the forum after being wrong about something they’d be no one left.I assume if he does take over and achieves promotion then you are happy to confirm you are wrong and you will leave the forum?

Just smacks of another Birmingham and Eustace example of owners who know nothing about football thinking a big name ex player can do the business because of the showbiz factor. The problem being DK doesnt have the same financial clout as the Blues owner and if this decision goes full tits up we will be back in league 1 and stay thereI think the bad reaction is partly down to him being the exact person people who thought Doug was clueless thought he would pick.
Its a very big if for someone who has absolutely no pedigree as a manager compared to MRI assume if he does take over and achieves promotion then you are happy to confirm you are wrong and you will leave the forum?
I'd have no one to talk to. Would be lonely for sure.If everyone on here left the forum after being wrong about something they’d be no one left.
None, hopefully. Lampard isn't a patch on MR. Joker.Do we actually know it's Lampard though?
Other than the bookies and some lazy football articles riding on that, what other evidence is there?

Lampard is a useless c**t. Great player, shite manager.
Anyone welcoming this appointment is,a fucking balloon.
He's done well at this level previously, his record at Chelsea is better than all of the subsequent managers, his spell at Everton wasn't great but again not that far away from Dyche subsequently.Lampard is a useless c**t. Great player, shite manager.

He’s got them playing that way because it suits the players they’ve got. I’m sure at FGR they actually played some decent stuff. It was also hardly a pathetic attempt to stay up considering they hardly spent anything compared to other teams.I really don’t get the hype with Rob Edwards. He got sacked at Watford (easily done tbf) after a few months in charge. He carried on the work done by Jones at Luton. Made a pathetic attempt at staying in the prem, and Luton this season for me have been the worst team we have played, echoed now by Middlesbrough fans. He’s done nothing to try and change the long ball tactics, which is repulsive to watch. No thanks.
Yea fair, pathetic maybe a bit harsh. Do feel we would have made a better fist of it though, but that’s maybe tinted glasses. He’s got them playing that was because it suits the players they’ve got. I disagree, id say he was more interested in getting results and promotion. I’m sure we would have done but we’d have also spent more as well compared to them.Yea fair, pathetic maybe a bit harsh. Do feel we would have made a better fist of it though, but that’s maybe tinted glasses.
However I stand by the style of play, he’s been there long enough to implement his style now, and they continue with the long ball. If he was a passing style manager who believed in his methods, he would have changed it.
I have a relative who supports Luton who said that the same the other day. I expect MR will take a year or so out the game. He looked like he needed it over the last month. My Luton mate wants them to get robins in. Some Luton fans have wanted Edwards out for 3-4 weeks. That’s fans for you….short memories
It was long ball tactics that nearly got us promotedYea fair, pathetic maybe a bit harsh. Do feel we would have made a better fist of it though, but that’s maybe tinted glasses.

Come off it. We were direct but not long ball direct. We utilised Gyokeres with balls into the channel. They literally lump the ball to the front two whoppers and the midfield plays off that. Very different styles. It was long ball tactics that nearly got us promoted
Ah , the sky blue tinted glasses .Come off it. We were direct but not long ball direct. We utilised Gyokeres with balls into the channel. They literally lump the ball to the front two whoppers and the midfield plays off that. Very different styles.

Christ. We were clearly watching different matches.Ah , the sky blue tinted glasses .
In our playoff season , especially after Xmas we were incredibly dour to watch . The style may have differed slightly but the intent and purpose was very similar
It was definitely a game plan to pinch a goal and sit back and counter .Often played direct into the middle of the park and then a Hamer ball into one of the channels. Was always a very quick transition from defence to attack.

His interviews he definitely sounded different, he sounded lost and down like you said. He looked a lonely figure sat in the dug outAgree with this 100%. Which is why I’ve not gone as mental about the sacking even though I didn’t like it, especially the timing. Robins looked exhausted recently, sounded down, almost resigned to the fact of performances like Wednesday. I don’t know if that was due to personal circumstances or just being manager of city for 7 years but it looked like things had taken their toll a bit …if that was the case and others can see it, then the writing was on the wall.
I think it’s mostly the personal issues and in the future even he’ll say in hindsight it was for the best for both him and the club.Agree with this 100%. Ahem!...If everyone on here left the forum after being wrong about something they’d be no one left.
He is a bit overated by some on here imo simply cos he's British and we have rednecks here who hate foreign managers and tiki taka etcI really don’t get the hype with Rob Edwards.
