Top 10, that will require play off form to achieve a top 10 position from here.
Play offs will require close to automatic form which in my view is unreasonable to expect.
Edit: I didn't want Robins out so i guess i shouldn't have answered this or voted in the poll?
Top 10 this season, play offs next - bare minimum 12th this season
I don’t think we have a bad squad in terms of quality, couple of tweaks in January we’ll be fine regardless of manager
Yea 7 points in 32 games. We’re seven points off the playoffs with 30 odd games to go.
It’s not a step back - it’s a reassessment of where we’re currently at. We know we’re still a CM short which can only be addressed in January.Interesting you’d accept a step back this season

that being said roughly 72 points needed - 56 from 31 is 1.8 games. As you’ve alluded to, entirely doable
Can't vote as it's only open to those that wanted robins out. I can't imagine many people can vote. Should have opened it up to everyone
There's no way Robins was getting us play offs this season ffs. I'd want to be finishing top half, with much improved home form as that has frankly been disastrous. Next season I'd want us starting well and making a strong go at the play offs.
Next seasons relegated teams will be much better than what came down this season which makes what has happened this season doubly disappointing.
Hair of the dog!We already know your expectations. 4-0 every game with sexy football. Ideally fronted by someone you’ve seen on Sky.

It would take some turnaround in fortunes. I do think the league is poorer than usual so never say never but we'd have to really get motoring. If Wright is out long term then absolutely no chance.Do you think the pos are out of reach? Only 8 (I forgot about the games yesterday) off. They’re very reachable on decent form.
This season or long term ?
This season I'd be happy to cement a mid table finish and progress over the next couple seasons back towards a playoff/ promotion spot .

I mean it's all relatives to the person expectations then isn't it, some will say we were going down or going to be in a relegation fight this season so anything above that is justifying it.I was mostly interested in what those who wanted a new guy think he can do. I’d have expected a belief this squad should be playoffs and so any manager should get there as a bare minimum.
I think a general barometer of the fanbase is good too but suspect those that didn’t want robins gone will have higher expectations of a replacement.
We’re not much worse than the season we got into the POs. Play off teams tend to have spurts of auto form and spurts of relegation form rather than consistent playoff form IMO
I take your point. It still should be the main goal.I was mostly interested in what those who wanted a new guy think he can do. I’d have expected a belief this squad should be playoffs and so any manager should get there as a bare minimum.

This season.
I think our current form puts us midtable, recent results look fine.
I probably shouldn't have replied the thread as it's not aimed at me , I hadn't engaged my brain tbh
This is probably realistic, IMO.This season or long term ?

We’re not going to sack them after a month in charge. If there’s no turn around, I’d sack him before Jan TBH. At this point better to quickly accept you’ve made the wrong decision and move on to the next gamble.

I really hate the thought of spiralling and becoming a Cardiff or stokeIf there’s no improvement I would. It’s a numbers game finding the right fit now. No sense in holding on for another 18 months and spending millions in the hope of a turnaround.
Put it this way - I feel sorry for our next manager, through no fault of his own. He’s got to hit the ground runningIf there’s no improvement I would. It’s a numbers game finding the right fit now. No sense in holding on for another 18 months and spending millions in the hope of a turnaround.
