He’s on TV now …. Speaks well on the match and indiv player analysis.

not sure what we can read into him being on TV today. Almost certainly a long standing booking.
Oh bloody hell, not another booking. Soon, every player is going to end up being suspended.

Robins and Viveash obviously didn't fit in with Dougs new elite model coaching set up that he's been advised to set up and is the modern way apparently, it's clear to me now.

So why give them both 4 year contracts when he joined?
Disagree.

This is a results based industry and over the last 30 games has been below expectations.

Factor in rumours that both AV and MR had alienated players…

The club changed drastically after the sale of Hamer and Gyokeres. We signed higher profile players and they need to managed accordingly. It’s not the same group or group dynamic that got MR and AV up the EFL. It’s entirely possible that MR had lost this group of players.

It's not just Doug making the decision. Mental that people are suggesting this
I'm sure. Who will have the final decision? Mental that people are suggesting the guy who knows nothing about football won't have the ultimate say who is our next manager. It's his toy, he'll do what he wants.

The entire EFL is going to laugh as us as we go down just like Brum last season.
This isn’t a John Eustace-type situation. Birmingham we’re actually doing well last season. We’re not and haven’t been a long time. The debate was ‘can Robins turn it around?’

I don’t see Lampard lasting long in the role and it seems like a lose-lose for us. If he does well, he won’t stay long and ofc if he doesn’t do well, he will be under a massive amount of pressure from the fan base.

The only saving grace for Lampard is that Chelsea and Everton were basket cases when he was there. That might be a mitigating factor but it’s a case of being ‘guilty until proven innocent for me’. Again, he has no experience of getting a club promoted so why should we believe he can do it with us?

Final decision will be Dougs, just like Robins has the final decision on the coaching staff and new signings.

The board, including Taylor will be advising.

Alot of the comments from 4 years ago are how everyone expects Frank to go right to the top

Hasn't worked out like that but perhaps the potential is still there.

True. Robins has gone. However, if Robins went due to us languishing at the bottom of the league then there's no point in appointing someone who, based on their previous record, isn't going to significantly improve our position.

Whoever we appoint will be a gamble but at least try and load the odds in our favour.
We can’t say for a fact that the next manager won’t do any better. It’s unlikely but Robins was struggling. I wanted him to turn it around , we should have given him that chance.
Lampard isn’t as bad as you’re making out. Not my first choice but we could have worse

Yeah. All managers including Robins had up and downs before really getting into their groove. Lampard as a manger has experienced a lot already which he’s had time to reflect on. Can only put him in a much better place.

We'll have to agree to disagree then. I think Lampard is all 'name' without any managerial substance.

If it is him, then I hope I'm wrong and he is a success for all our sakes.

Has Doug or Robins ever come out and said there's any suggestion of a no loans policy? Or have we not found a good fit?

I might be wrong but weren’t we due to sign a lad from Villa on loan then they got injured before deadline day ?

Its obvious that the preference is to build a squad of our own players, which I agree with after we pretty much lost our defence following the play off final. I’d imagine it was robins preference too.

If we can get players in with an option to buy or to fill a gap short term that’s a different story

And if it isn't a name but with managerial substance I hope he's a success for all our sakes too

We're changing our coaching setup to be like all the other clubs.

All the other clubs have loan players.

We won't be bothering with them.

Can’t find any quote to suggest there is. Think it’s based on the assumption we haven’t had any this summer but as you say either they didn’t find a good fit or they pursued permanent signings they thought were better. DK was chairman last year and we had Binks and ayari.
