I’m sure that Van Nisrelrooy has said somewhere he doesn’t want to be a number 1 from his previous experiences in the Netherlands.

Strange that considering how well he has got united playing purely on a tactical standpoint. I watched them play yesterday, he had Ugarte, Casemiro and Bruno playing really close together and in a triangle shape, he had the wingers playing on the shoulder.

To be fair. He’s new to the role. He seemed visibly upset today and wouldn’t shock me if that’s because of the rate of misinformation, criticism (which is fair but nothing something he’d be used to as he wasent previously in the public eye)and in some cases just sexism to his staff, all from people who say they back the club.

Don’t think anyone thinks robins was the issue just that a stupid comment got out of hand and the team split and it hasn’t worked since.

I believed Robins (and still do, frankly) that he’d have turned things around and that gives us all a blind spot. His success over 7 years made us believe that the changes in club as a whole was the issue and not him.

Given some of the stuff I’ve heard on AV, there’s definitely a briefing war to some of the ITKs. On AV, I was told he’s a ‘complicated character’ and ‘difficult to work with’ which is similar to what AV said about his boss. The other stuff I’ve heard is almost straight up character assassination and doesn’t fit in with what DK said about wanting to keep the band together.
