Who wants to play 52 card pick up
There is 2 ways of looking at it, it's either a utter shambles or get it right and we can be triumphant.
Next appointment is crucial and I think we are attractive club to manage and to get a top coach in. Big crowds, supportive and passionate fan base, decent team on paper home stadium is good aswell as the training base now, just needs a leader to follow it..

I hate to utilise modern slang, but the use of the term ‘deck’ to describe a squad of players is proper cringe.

I’m listening on catch up and he just said this is the best deck we’ve had for many many years.

Am I the only one that thinks our squad is bang average / even slightly below average.

We don’t have a single player I would swap for our previous “big 3” (Gus, Gyok, OH). I would be amazed if any new manager gets much more of a tune out of this “deck”.

Biggest problem for me is recruitment and hearing Dean Austin talk it’s making a lot of sense as to why it’s all gone so wrong.

I think this is the deck many on here would choose.

The audience are going to need better performances if the product is going to meet the expected content parameters.

He sees no problem with these players and that it doesn’t need experience or leadership. That’s plainly wrong based on the performances.

Any new master tactician will still face that problem.
Didn't he say that if there's a player who's older with no resale value that will bind everything together then it's not an issue?

January will be telling

He did but like the loan question only after umming and ahhing and couching it in language about how we don’t really need them and the squad is fine.

I thought his answers on transfers were the weakest and may be why he had Austin with him because he knew that.

He said that as though it was hypothetical not real. Seems to me he thinks the players we already have are fine, and it’s all about the quality of coaching that they’re underperforming.

I disagree.

Isn't that because it's Austin's job? Like when he explained the loans.

Yeah but why bring Austin at all and everyone has jobs. Thats an aside, I thought his answers on transfers showed he had at least some influence. His answers became much less clear.

I don't necessarily disagree but it did take a number of those players a bit of time to get going and let's face it Gyok has gone on to do ways more than pretty much anyone would have imagined. What I'm trying to say is I'm not sure we are comparing apples with apples just yet.
