Torch you really are a prat sometimes.
I wrote to hm once. This was at a time when it was believed there was possibly someone waiting in the wings wanting to take over the club and based upon the very reasoned, rational and consitent arguments of the likes of OSB of how unsafe the Ricoh would be in the hands of Sisu.
For me OSB is one of the very best posters on here and he talks an awful, awful lot of sense. I therefore take a lot of credence from what the likes of himself and others have said about Sisu's most likely end game.
Why are you being a total twat about my writing to the council who represent my city and only writing just that once to air my concerns?
Sometimes you are a real arse. And why you have to be a total arse at Christmas especially is beyond me.
I'm happy to debate and argue a point, but that is at least 3 times now where you have tried to score petty silly little points by mention John Mutton.
For fooks sake get a grip you wet lemon!!
Yes, I am a twat.
You are not as bad as that. Close call though
Is that why you stand up for SISU whatever they do?
ACL is a company owned by the Council & the Higgs trust. North Coventry Regeneration Limited is owned by the Council and has nothing to do with the running of ACL.
If I'm a twat for wanting the best for Coventry City rather than for a (Dave Nice voice) Charadee or for ACL then yep, I'm a twat.
We all want what's best for Coventry City surely?
Who will ever want to take over our club when nobody has trust in them?
Don't be so blind, Otis! It's obvious (as people have actually said) that they would rather the club go bust than SISU "win" the rent disagreement.
It's not being blind, they still want what they perceive to be best for Coventry City, albeit that meaning we start from scratch.
If I thought the only viable option was to re-start as in what AFC Wimbledon have done I would be in full support of that.
That has to be a very last resort though. Disingenuous to say that people do not want what is best for CCFC. It's just that many of these people are prepared for CCFC to start from scratch.
And if City did that I would be first up the Memorial Park or wherever backing the Sky Blues from there.
Fine to think starting from scratch isn't the right way forwards, but you cannot say that people do not want what they perceive as what is best for CCFC. People are looking to the long term, maybe 10 years down the line and maybe feel that we could do an AFC Wimbledon, who knows.
It may not be right in your eyes, but that doesn't mean these fans don't want what is best for CCFC.

They own itI want what is best for our club.
Sorry but I can't see in any way how SISU can be included in this.

I'll think you will find that most people who adopt that line just want sisu to crumble and fail and actually haven't even thought of the consequences for the club.
Sisu out has become an obsession which has overtaken what is happening on the pitch.
As business practice it's not emerging even that extreme. They should have done this on day one of taking over. Told ACl that the rent is too high and dictated terms from the off. They have been weak and passive for too long.
Seriously though lots want them to fall flat on their faces and care less about the fall out for the club.
"I would rather the Club go bust". A direct quote. He doesn't want the best for the team. Starting from scratch at the bottom of the triangle isn't wanting what's best.
I won't be celebrating if that happens.
The most ridiculous thing I've ever read on this forum.totally gobsmackedYou seem perfectly happy for ACL to go bust though?
The way the club/sisu has acted has seriously threatened financial security of ACL.
If its a choice between ACL or CCFC going bust then I would rather it be CCFC. Does that mean I don't care about the club, of course not. But for the long term security of both it would be better if its CCFC that goes bust.
If CCFC goes bust the club will survive, ACL would be supportive, and a sensable rent would be set up for the new owners.
If ACL goes bust, the bank will takeover, and no more rent negotiations will take place. If the club doesnt pay, they will be out.
My theory is if ACL goes, the club goes with it.

I agree, the current deal is not viable for CCFC so why do some people argue totally against lowering the rent?ACL & CCFC are connected and both need to be viable.

Yes I do.
But the £1.2m p/a plus extra is perfectly reasonable.
Why can't you get your head around this simple fact?
Show me anyone doing what you say.
They have gone about it all wrong. There is a good offer on the table. Why have they not accepted it?
It's not a good offer when compared to what others pay.
Here you go astute
I'll give you that one
What would be considered a decent rent if we ever reached the prem and filled the ground? About 1m a game in gate receipts.......
