Imagine getting paid £200k a week for sitting about watching TV and having a wank.

Let's face it folks, none of us knows how the new manager will perform.

We could get someone we don't fancy who turns out be excellent or a manager with a brilliant track record who is useless. Let's face it, Mark Robins' didn't have a great history of success when he joined us but has turned out to be a superb appointment.

I have decided to be relaxed about it and just get behind the new man when he comes. giving him and the team my full support. Being against him from the start will just be counter productive.

Genuinely surprised how limited the pool of potential managers being linked with the job is. Would have thought it was one of the better jobs in the Championship.

They'll be loads of applicants, as there will be for any managerial vacancy, there's a lot of football people out of work.

Just seen Rud is now 10/1

Can I ask is he a good choice. I haven’t been able to find loads about him outside of his care taker role at man united?

Not saying it’s happening, just curious

For me it’s an impossibility. His last perm job was at PSV where he finished 2nd and won the cup, with them playing in Europe too. Utd caretaker stint won’t have hurt him either. We would be a significant step down and a huge risk for him, I don’t think there’s any planet on which he even considers it.

Didn’t he say he was hoping to work with the new manager, now he’s left ? jesus, we’ve got weeks of this

Wouldn't have thought so, Carsley likes to be on the training ground with the players.
he‘s only been manager at international level. only does that a few times a year, thought the England manager would be involved in more off the field things ? Speaking to clubs about players, over seeing transition from the young players to the senior team, sounds a great fit for it ?

I can’t see it happening either, but to dream for a second, if it did happen then it would be on paper a brilliant signing by Doug King.

Loves to coach though Lee. Does it at Strachens football camp in Cov. Couldn’t see him happy behind a desk per say

Quick search on X for RVN and he’s linked with 5 premier league clubs & Burnley. Looks like he would have the pick of jobs if he waits for a couple of weeks

Van Nistelrooy was 40/1 this morning now come into 10/1.

I guess if someone stuck £50 on it, it could affect the odds but interesting all the same.

Frank Lampard delivered Coventry City snub as Doug King pointed towards new man

A story with this headline. It is basically saying we should get Rob Edwards from Luton. Embarassing Clickbait

Frank Lampard sent Coventry City warning as surprise Jurgen Klopp claim made

Somebody said even if we hired Klopp there would be some annoyed fans.

Mark Robins next job claim made as Doug King rival expected to 'make a decision shortly'

Somebody has said Cardiff should hire Robins

it was Just a thought, your prob right though, I’d put him in front of Lampard, there’s only one reason Lampard gets the job and its not because he’s the best option
To be fair think both are decent options.

Both have good track records at developing young players with Frank giving a lot of young players there first team debuts and Lee at the England U21s.

Both play attacking football with an emphasis on possession and pressing. Both have connections and would be able to bring good coaching staff with them and get the premiership to give us more choice when it comes to loans.

Finally both come with quite a bit of experience although at different ends of football with one having champions league and prem experience while the other has international experience (keep in mind Frank won his champions league group).

We could do a lot worse than either and if both have applied, hope Doug would have a good review on there Cvs

The media reaction to Robins sacking has been absolutely hysterical.

I'm hoping we do a Southampton (Nigel Adkins) or Brighton (Chris Hughton) who got pelters for sackings but went on to better things.

Least carsleys got a connection to the club, lampard would be just a media circus we don’t need, prefer 2 seasons ago when we just went under the radar, kind of hoping it’s someone we’ve never heard of, none of this journey bollocks, just go back to doing things how we were, bit too late though I think, gut feeling says lampard
